"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful and attractive. I last stayed there in 1976 and it has changed a lot. The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful! "The experience was absolutely lovely and had many little touches that made it more unique like the sloe gin in our room and the quiet lounge which we enjoyed a complementary whiskey in. The breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in many hotels! The only reason I haven’t given this a full 5 stars on the service was for 1 reason only and that was when we ordered our drinks for dinner it took about 10-15 mins to arrive and there was only 8 of us in the restaurant but apart from that...
