"Good location close to town centre, arts centre and walks. Small rooms with lots of electrical points that had no function. Used a power board off another power board which was of dubious safety. No hotel bbq although plenty of outdoor table and chairs. Room had a microwave."

"What a little gem of a find. Absolutely beautiful cottage right in the woods and yet a 5 min drive to town. Jack is a wealth of knowledge and there is bird and possum feeding at certain times. There are beautiful parrots, a goose, chickens and a free range rabbit. Kids would love this place and there is a play area for the littlies. "We really enjoyed our stay [with our dogs] at Maeburn cottages. Dorothy was a great host and very attentive to our needs. The cottage was warm and cosy and the bed comfortable. One thing to note is that our cottage had a fridge but no freezer component, so if you need ice you will need to get it at the general store.
