"This place offered the perfect getaway from the city, and I loved having the kayaks available for use! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook. The outdoor area down by the river was peaceful despite the nearby highway, and when the water level is low earlier in the day you can walk the kayaks down to the water. Note that the current gets much stronger in late afternoon and water level rises, so don’t get stuck paddling home upstream. Learned that the hard way!"

"What a beautiful home and setting! A spacious 4 bedroom home sitting above the beautiful Chippewa river! Comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen and a very nice outdoor space that included a fire ring! Angie was a wonderful host and maintained contact from the moment I booked with her! We visited wineries, parks, a mansion, waterfalls and other sites within a short drive of the house! I would highly recommend the Codax Retreat for a very nice get-a-way!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was fresh and clean with great amenities and the location was beautiful and relaxing. Tomahawk is about 10 minutes away with plenty to see and do. The host was great. "

"Sometimes you never know what you're going to get when you get to your VRBO. Sometimes the photos mislead you, but I must say everything shown in this listing is accurate. Everything about it was exceptional. Ben, who is the gentleman that corresponded with us through? All our questions was always available in a timely fashion. "Stayed with my parents, siblings and their families. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Kitchen was stocked with very nice pots, pans, and food storage. Having two fridges was great! The lofted space with the bonus room with beds was awesome for the kids to have their own hangout space. Access to the water was perfect and so close the beach and park worked out so well! We would definitely book again!!"
