"The good: Communication with the host was excellent throughout the whole process! The beds and couches were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and pillows. The inside of the house was very clean. The value we got for the money was incredible!The bad: Upon arrival, there was a lot of trash in the yard which wasn't super welcoming. "Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks."

"This was a lovely space to stay. We were there for diving at Mermet Springs. It is not far from town and easy to get to. For those diving it has a washer and dryer that worked great for wet things. Nice patio for eating outside. We would definately stay again if it's available when we are there"

"Definitely will come back A+++ . Hot tub was perfect but definitely needs a umbrella for day time soaks. Shawnee is a beautiful place to relax with Nature."
