"The cottage was so very charming and it definitely felt one stepped back in time! THe location was superb. Wonderful positive surprises (did not pick up fully in the listing) included the gas powered fireplaces (there are two!) and cozy, private garden patio in back. One item I missed on the listing was that there was only one Bath/shower and it was on the main floor - not where the bedrooms are located - that said, the water was hot and there were plenty of cushy towels! "Our stay here was extremely disappointing and honestly stressful. From the beginning, the property did not feel safe, which we raised concerns about, but nothing was done to address it. During our stay, our truck was vandalized (egged), which only reinforced the lack of security in the area.To make matters worse, the host was not helpful when issues came up. "We had a very pleasant stay. The house was clean, the badge were comfortable, linens were supplied; and the property is less than 5 mins to the Marina, boat ramps and restaurants. Many things were within walking distance.Barbara communicated well and in a timely manner. Check in and check out instructions were easy. The VRBO app is convenient, but can be a bit challenging for folks not tech savvy."
