"Excellent location, spacious house with a lovely deck for sitting outside a reading or listening to the birds. Quiet with plenty of deer grazing just outside the window, but only 10-15 minutes from Elijay and other nearby attractions. We had a great time and the host was very accommodating with a last- minute schedule change. Would definitely visit again!"

"the road to approach is dirt/gravel so be aware. cute little cosy cabin. the outdoor fireplace is the best. everything was super clean and comfy. best stocked kitchen in a while. indoor gas fireplace did not work but host gave a small reimbursement so that was ok. linens were nice and everything was provided. not really a quiet place as there was a local barking dog and a bulldozer and a close neighbor, but, we enjoyed ourselves. "

We went in late December 2025 - early January 2026 during a cold wave. There was no snow unfortunately, but boy it was cold. However, the heating system worked fine. "Cabin not clean, no sheets on bed. Someone came to clean, we had to leave for an hour after we contacted the host. Game machine doesn’t work, kids were so disappointed. "We were locked out of the cabin upon arrival; apparently, the alarm system and lock was malfunctioning. We were eventually able to get inside, but the alarm system continued to malfunction all week, beeping frequently and always with errors. There is no Internet and no Wi-Fi to speak of; the owner installed a HughesNet satellite dish in the middle of trees; it only works if the wind blows the trees out of the way. Starlink, mounted on the roof, would be far more reliable and probably cheaper....
