Ocean Mist Cottage Professionally Managed by Newman-Dailey

Once you look through the Ocean Mist, you'll notice the lighthouses right away. Navigate toward the nautical beacons that capture the theme of this beach house, and they will lead you to the vacation of a lifetime! After a day of fun in the sun, you can relax with a cocktail and a 'lighthouse view' from the third-floor balcony. Or better yet, let everyone find their own relaxation port . . . from kicking back on the second-floor deck and enjoying the pleasant breezes and cheerful surroundings of this Crystal Beach neighborhood . . .to unwinding in the Primary bath Jacuzzi . . . or taking an afternoon dip in your own private splash pool, complete with a outdoor shower!

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

There are several pool towels provided for your stay but must remain in the vacation rental and not be taken home.

The pool has a Spill-Over Spa. This is not a Hot Tub and cannot be heated independent of the pool.

This pool can be heated between October- April for a fee of $50 per day upon request to our office. There is an additional charge for heating requests within 48 hours of check-in.

This property comes with 4 parking spaces.

We may require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

The property is clean, up to date, and in a beautiful neighborhood. It is a short walk to the beach. Our group of 9 had plenty of room and comfort in the home. We had a minor issue with the washer not draining water from clothes so we messaged the host and they took care of it in less than 24 hours. Communication with the host has been quick and easy. We had such a great trip and I would recommend this property for large families!

Perfect beach experience

This was a lovely home and perfect for my multi-generational family. Everyone loved the pool. The top deck was a wonderful location to do sunrise yoga every morning and enjoy a nice glass of wine in the evening. Can’t wait to go back

Family Vacation at Ocean Mist Cottage

We loved it! From the very moment we pulled up to the house, until the morning we left, our experience was delightful! We timed our walk to the beach at 4 minutes and only about two minutes to Camille’s, a local coffee shop. They also served lunch and dinner, had pizza and merch. Ocean Mist is, Number One, very clean! Each room is very well appointed, comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen is so very well equipped: coffee pot, Keurig, utensils, pots and pans. We were able to enjoy eggs and pancakes for breakfast. We didn’t watch much TV, but there were plenty of them if guests are so inclined. Porches on the first and second floors were lovely and the 3rd floor balcony afforded one an excellent view of the area. The pool provided opportunities for fun and laughter every day. We didn’t use the gas grill at the patio by the pool, but the table, chairs and umbrella had some of us there quite often. The keyless entry door kept it simple for those coming and going at different times. We had plenty of room for our three vehicles in the driveway. The lawn and landscaping is outstanding. The washer and dryer worked very nicely and we were able to clean and dry several loads of laundry. It was especially helpful in preparing our swimwear and beach towels for packing as we headed home. If this review sounds so very positive, that’s because our stay at Ocean Must was indeed, so very positive! We had loads of fun with Wonderful Memories! Thank you!

Perfect!

Wonderful property and great location! We weren't far from the beach easy walk even for 6 kids and 4 adults. The pool was a life saver due to the fact there was double red flags on the beach and we couldnt go in the water. We went with another family of 5 and had plenty of room! I cant say enough good things.

Very disappointed

House was not ready at 4:00 specified. House was filthy. Crew was hurrying to finish when we arrived so many things were overlooked. House slept 10 people but had only 5 knives. Pool was not cleaned. Management company did respond to this call but “new” pool vendor shocked and cleaned pool and stated that the cloudy water would subside in 24 hours but the water was safer cloudy than what we were swimming in before. There was mold in 2 bathroom showers/tubs. Grill had food left on it from prior guests. Vomit was still evident on square coffee table frame in living room. There was no broom to sweep sand off floors with although a dust pan was there. There were no swifter pads but a swifter was there. Glass tables were greasy and not clear, appearing to be cleaned with a non glass cleaner requiring we wash them with soap and water. There were no batteries in the living room remotes (3) and there was no remote at all in bedroom rendering TV useless . Pool light and outdoor lights by pool were not in working order. Bathroom vanity drawer was filled with public/chest chair requiring we clean bathroom drawers prior to using them. Dishwasher had food in bottom of it requiring we clean it out prior to use. Overall, the worst VRBO experience I’ve had. Cleaning crew needed to be followed-up on before releasing house to tenants.

Great Location! Close to everything

My husband and I were in town for a wedding that was at the nearby Henderson Resort. We wanted to be nearby, but preferred the perks of being in a home vs resort. The house was very nice, and lots of space for a big group. It was just the two of us for this trip, but this would be a great place for a large group including families or multiple couples. There is a first floor bedroom with bath, and two additional baths on the 2nd floor that offered privacy for both the bedrooms on that level as well. You are very close to the beach, and it is definitely walkable. I would suggest looking in to a golf cart rental if you prefer not to walk. The vehicle parking can be limited at peak times, but there seems to be more availability for golf carts in some of the nearby lots. We also spent some time going to the state park beach nearby. The is a small entry fee (I believe $6/day), but it has really nice facilities and was less busy then some of the other areas. The only item that I would suggest is that some of the cooking pans and pots are replaced or added. There was plenty of dishes and even baking items, but the home is in need of some additional cookware. We were able to make it work since we were only cooking for two, but this could be more difficult for a larger group if you plan to cook meals at the house. The pool was also nice, and probably one of our favorite parts of the house. There is also a community pool, but the convenience and privacy of the pool at the house was definitely worth it. Overall, the property and management was great and they went above and beyond to keep us informed and provide info for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this house and Newman Dailey!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect and central to everything. We loved having the pool to go swimming in after the beach. When we checked in the pool was cloudy but there had been rain off and on. The property could use some upgrades with their patio furniture and curtains in the master bedroom.

Close to the Beach

This property was perfect for our get away and very spacious. One set of grandparents stayed on the main floor, perfect for their room, no stairs. My husband and I stayed on the second floor in the master. My sister and mom shared the other room on the second floor. We had 3 kids ages 9, 7 and 5 who shared the bunk beds on the 3rd floor. There is a balcony off the master and 3rd floor. We told the kids not to open that balcony door without an adult. Keep that in mind if you have really young kids. The private pool was a hit! The kids enjoyed the pool more than the beach! The pool is small, so perfect for kids and parents. Kids will always be within a quick reach. The walk to the beach was 5 min. And that was with 3 kids and carrying all of our stuff. Location is great. Pretty close to the water park, harbor, and outlets. Balcony chairs need to be replaced, that's the only negative, which isn't a big deal.

awesome place!

We enjoyed our stay very much, the pool was great for the kids, the walk to the beach was only 2 mins. They had bikes we were able to use, we would take our morning and evening rides on the bike around the area, which was great. The place was very clean. Everything was close by. Destin Harbor was less than 15 mins away. Overall we enjoyed everyday of our vacation. Thank you!!!!

Wonderful home and great location.

We loved this property. It was ideal for our group. Plenty of room to spread out and have your own space. 5-7 min walk to the beach. Having your own pool is wonderful. Grocery shopping only a mile away. Can’t say enough about how much we all loved our stay.
