At Chateaux San Souci, life slows down just enough to savor every moment—Louisiana style. Tucked inside the gated Destiny West community and just a short 0.3-mile stroll from the Gulf, this 4-bedroom, 3-bath beach house is designed with families in mind.

Picture your crew starting the day with café au lait at the kitchen table while the kids chatter about who’s building the biggest sandcastle. The fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to whip up a hearty breakfast or a seafood boil after a day in the sun. Out back, the screened patio is perfect for firing up the gas grill, sipping sweet tea, and swapping stories as the evening breeze rolls in.

With the beach so close, you’ll love the convenience of slipping on your flip-flops, grabbing the wagon of toys, and being in the sand in minutes. Parents can stretch out under the sun while the little ones dig, splash, and giggle to the sound of waves. If the kids still have energy to burn, the community pool, hot tub, and gym are only a three-minute walk away—no fuss, no driving.

And when it’s time for an adventure beyond the neighborhood, Destin has something for everyone: dolphin cruises at HarborWalk Village, shopping and kid-friendly dining at Destin Commons, championship golf, fishing trips, and plenty of Louisiana-style flavors mixed right into the Gulf Coast charm.

“San Souci” means “carefree” in French, and that’s exactly the feeling you’ll carry home from here—days filled with sand between your toes, laughter echoing from room to room, and family memories that will linger long after you’ve left.

This house has parking for 2 vehicles.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

We may require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students.

Great location but…

Long story short, almost no communication from management company. So if there are ANY issues, you are left to fixing yourself. I asked a few short questions about our stay the day before arrival and NEVER got human responses, just automated messages about check in processes/codes. Never got any response about some detailed questions. We arrived after a very long trip and my daughter needed to immediately go the restroom, as did several of us! There was not a single roll in the entire house! We pay over 6k for the week and not even a starter TP roll! Our Walmart delivery was coming a little later so we had nothing to use. Our living room tv never worked and the bikes had missing pedals (randomly found in the laundry room!) and many other bike issues. We contacted mgmt immediately upon arrival and we didn’t get someone to come by until 3 days later! They fixed the bikes, however another one later kept having the chain come off. We never had a working living room tv our entire trip. My husband and friends husband had to move another tv from another room just so we could watch something together. I just couldn’t believe that is the standard for this kind of price point and location. I am waiting on them to “review” our stay to see what will be done. Great location and cute community but forget having them make sure everything is as it should be.

Wonderful Home

We loved this home and had a great vacation. The location was perfect. It was a short walk to the beach, pool, and fitness center. The home was clean and exactly as described. The communication with David was outstanding as he made sure we had all the information we needed. We will definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful house and setting!

All eleven of us had plenty of room in the house! There was so much to do in Destin we couldn’t do it all in just one week. But…there was always time for the pool and and the beautiful beaches!

Perfect family vacation spot

If you’re traveling to Destin with family, this is the place to land. The home was clean, comfortable, safe and close to everything. We had kids of all ages, so it was ideal that some could be in the pool, others playing tennis, and others just a short walk away at the beach. I loved that we could walk to the beach and then return to the home for meals and breaks - no need to lug the cooler along. So fun! Make sure to bring everything you’ll need if you don’t intend to grocery shop. You’ll get enough paper products to get you started, but you’ll need more if staying for a week. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for all of us(9 total). The home has a great layout and is very well kept. Love the location. The pool is great and it is not far at all to walk to the beach. Will be checking on this home for our next vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Perfect!

The house and location was perfect for our summer vacation to Destin. Because of the ideal location, all we needed were bicycles for getting around. The beach is right across the street. The neighborhood was quiet at night. The community pool and fitness center was a nice bonus as well. The owner promptly answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful beach house located a short walking distance from Destin beach. The house was amazing with everything you could need. The pool was fantastic and super close. The public parking at the beach entrance was awesome. I just got up early every day and drove all of our stuff to the beach, although sone days we just walked as it wasn’t far at all. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We did have to wait about a half hour past our check in time, as the house cleaners did not finish until about 4:30 but it was a minor inconvenience. I would recommend this property and would love to rent it again in the future.

Lovely stay!

Property was better than expected, we had a lovely stay. As another reviewer noted, the property is larger than expected which was nice. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers and it was perfect for us. Great neighborhood, 5 minute walk to the beach.

Nice...but could use a good once over with maintenance

We like the layout of the house, location and community was great. The master bedroom toilet was not secured to the floor and was wobbly. Pizza sauce on the kitchen floor when we arrived and the first bedroom on the right didn't seem like a queen size bed. Ceiling fan in the living room was not very sturdy.

Perfect Location!!

We loved the gated community and how close we were to the beach!! The neighborhood was awesome! We walked to the beach everyday. Having the restaurant (The Crab Trap) right there on the beach was great too! Very convenient to grab drinks or food while hanging out at the beach. We enjoyed being close to the pool, hot tub and tennis court too. The kids loved swimming in the pool and playing basketball & tennis. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again! Very spacious and is bigger than it looks in the pictures.

We had an amazing time staying at It’s Someday! The home was large, clean, and had everything we needed for the stay. The neighborhood was beautiful with lots of activities for us to do. The beach was so close that my toddlers had no problem walking the distance every day. Communication with the property manager was excellent! This home is the best deal and is beautiful. Beyond perfect....

This house has everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. The gated secure QUIET neighborhood we all loved. The kitchen is well stocked (you don’t need to bring anything from home) there is a container in the back yard filled with kid toys. Again you don’t need to buy anything to make a sandcastle. Beach chairs are available in the house as well. Did I mention the grill? and the beautiful landscaped backyard. The grill came in very handy and the backyard is an oasis. David was always very prompt on getting back to me and was always very friendly. We will be back in 2022 and I’m hoping to book this house again. Thank you for a FABULOUS stay.

Summer Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect. It was well stocked with all your kitchen needs and had beach chairs and toys as well. Bedrooms were large and accommodated our family of 12 with ease. The beach was just a short walk away. The neighborhood pool was also a nice option if you wanted to avoid the sand. I would definitely stay here again.
