Bright Coastal Retreat – Dog Friendly Paradise With Private Pool Near the Beach!

Welcome to your dream getaway in the heart of Destin! This charming home offers classic Southern architecture with first and second floor breezy wraparound porches, swaying palms, and a white picket fence that frames the lush, landscaped yard and private pool. Just a short stroll to the public beach access, it’s the perfect spot for morning walks, sunset strolls, and everything in between.
Inside, you’ll find spacious, light-filled rooms with coastal-inspired décor, comfy modern furnishings, and all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The fully equipped kitchen makes mealtime a breeze, and the open concept living area is ideal for gathering with family and friends. The widow's watch, high above is an additional sleeping space and getaway for the young family members. The two second floor primary suites are ideal for couples or families and having a first-floor bedroom with a custom bunk bed and trundle is perfect for any family members who prefer not to use stairs. This home offers the perfect blend of elegance and comfort.

Your furry companions are more than welcome here! With the fenced yard, nearby dog-friendly parks and pet-friendly eateries, your pets will feel right at home. You must pay a pet fee (please inquire before booking) and provide up to date shot records.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.
This property comes with 4 parking spaces.

There are several pool towels provided for your stay but must remain in the vacation rental and not be taken home.

This pool can be heated between October- April for a fee upon request to our office.

We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students

Great location!

My husband and I stayed here the week of our wedding and it was amazing. Super close to shopping, dining, and the beach. There's a lot of space for big families and the backyard was perfect for our dogs.

Paradise in Sept

Hubby and I had never been to the beach in Sept but we will definitely be doing it again!! Weather was perfect . . No humidity No afternoon rain showers!! No crowds to wait on tables for dinner!! The water was crystal clear and so warm (not chilly like I would've thought in Sept)!! The house was so clean, 2 king-size beds that were very comfy!!! Location was perfect too, just a short walk to beach! The home is located on semi-busy road so I would expect it to be noisier in the summer with activity but not bad at all in Sept. It was a great week!!! Thank you!!

Beyond our expectation!

We had a great experience on the property! What you see on the pictures is what you get. Walking distance from the beach was very convenient. And it feels like home right when you start your vacation. It was a little expensive, but it was worth it. 10/10 recommend!

Great Location

House is located perfectly within walking distance to the beach and also walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The house was perfectly for our family! It was so nice having the pool to come back to everyday too from the beach! We’ve been to Destin for years and this has been our favorite property we’ve ever stayed at.

Family of vacation

This property was neat clean and very roomy space inside and out. Easy walk to beach. Located close to stores and restaurants. Decking and fenced in pool were awesome and private. Great lounge chairs on deck and around pool! Easy parking too. Perfect for family with small dog! Loved our stay!

Great place to stay in Destin

My family and I have been vacationing in Destin the last couple of years and this is by far the best place we stayed. It's a short walk to the beach and to some restaurants/shopping areas. The place is very spacious and was really clean. The pool was perfect and they even had people clean it throughout the week which was nice. We will definitely be coming back!!!

We had a great time. Location was excellent. We spent a lot of time in the back yard.

We found the management company to be excellent. The house is showing its age and could use some TLC. But overall we had a great time. Wish we could have taken our dog on the beach or in the parks, but the back yard was wonderful.

Fabulous Thanksgiving Stay!

The booking and check-in process was extremely easy! Property is in a great location and well maintained. The pool heater had been turned on and water was ready upon arrival. Two very small suggestions: 1. Oven door needs adjusted to close tightly. (May assist with energy bills. 2. Bikes available to use are a great perk. Suggest checking the air in the tires prior to guest arrival or having a tire pump available. Our family had a lovely fun filled Thanksgiving in this property!

Crystal Beach is a beautiful area. The location of the house was great. Close to the beach and shopping. In general, the house was nice. The pool and back yard were ideal for us and our dog. The inside could use some updates. My biggest complaint was the appliances. The dishwasher, washer and dryer were old and extremely noisy. We would turn them on and have to leave due to the noise they made. We used the oven on our last day and it smelled strongly of gas. I called maintenance and they were prompt to arrive. They were going to have someone come out the day we left. Overall, I would rate the house a 3-4 star.

Great first- time VRBO experience

We truly enjoyed our stay at Sunkissed Cottage. It was super clean, (inside and out!)and had the basic necessities we needed for our family of 7 (grandparents, 30 somethings, a 4 year old and an 18 month old). The layout of the house on the property was one of the best things; the main living area and the incredible wrap-around decks looked out on a wooded lot; none of our main windows looked at the house next door. The easy walk to the beach was wonderful, as was the incredible shopping just 4 minutes walking the other way (Check out all the amazing stores available at the Destin Commons!) The traffic on Hutchinson Street was not a problem; we left all the doors open during our stay there, for the wonderful breezes. The two upstairs master suites are huge, and a great getaway when you need it. The 3rd floor loft has its own air conditioning, which makes it very livable. We paid an extra fee for the pool to be heated (nights were still in the 50's-60's) and it made the pool uber comfortable throughout the day. We gave this delightful house 4 stars, primarily because the fact that no windows looked out on the pool made it feel like the pool was not part of the property, and there was not sufficient shade by the pool(the only umbrella there was broken, and blew over whenever we tried to use it). Also, the trundle in the downstairs bedroom was not adequate for the grandparents, whose knees had trouble with the steep stairs. We did find a child gate in the laundry room closet, which was useful for keeping the baby downstairs. We really appreciated the communication and dealing with Newman-Daily, who manage this property. They are top-notch, in our opinion!
