LOG CABIN on a rushing trout stock creek on 10 acres. Beautiful setting with the creek in your backyard. You can hear the rushing waters from the back deck. Beautiful handcrafted red cedar furniture accents this beautiful Log Cabin. If you are looking for a secluded and private Creekside retreat, you will love this. Elk Creek is listed as an Outstanding Resource of Water by state of NC and stock monthly from Mar-Aug.
This log home offers privacy and serene setting along the creek, but yet convenient to areas of attraction like Boone (Appalacian State Univ.) and Blowing Rock. It is a 15-20 min ride up the mountain to many restaurants and shops etc. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Leatherwood Stables (horseback riding) are within 10-15 min drive.
The Cabin offers handcrafted red cedar and pine log furniture throughout and kitchen is equipped with all you will need for cooking and baking. A gas fireplace in the living room will surely take the chill out of the air in the winter but we also have central air and heat. You will find this very quiet and cozy. The hot tub in on a covered porch for privacy. Come visit and make it a memorable vacation for you and your family.

Family getaway

Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was stocked with everything we needed. The kids had a blast. It felt secluded and surrounded by nature. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Beautiful!

The cabin and surrounding area were beautiful! We loved being able to hear the stream/river. The hot tub was great after spending a day up on Appalachian Mountain.

Riverside Cabin

Wife and I plus our 2 golden retrievers enjoyed our stay. We went into town “Boone” which is about a 35 minute drive. The cabin was great! The river behind the property has some deep spots where the pups loved to jump into. No cell service but the wifi was great and the house has a phone. It was a nice getaway.

Well apppointed cabin right on the stream

Really clean and comfortable well-appointed cabin with good amenities and thoughtful touches throughout. Perfect for a fly fishing getaway although when we went in July it was too hot to fish and the stream was very low. The hot tub is nice, and the living room has a nice fireplace. Small issues like very slow internet and the shower lever in the bath not working well hardly registered, although requiring you to take your own trash with you if you produced more than one garbage bag of trash and charging $10/bag if you left more than one seemed a little over the top given you’re paying a hefty cleaning fee. Highly recommend stocking up on food for your stay as restaurants are pretty few and far between and there are no grocery stores nearby. The host was very communicative though which we appreciated. Overall a very nice place on a beautiful mountain stream which is great for fly fishing.

Summer Getaway

We had an amazing time and stay at the Anglers Retreat. There wasn’t a detail missed, comfy bed, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub was clean & relaxing, wood for the campfire was available, and loved the wonderful stream in our backyard! What a treat to watch the deer in the side yard and listen to the stream on the back porch.

Amazing place!

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin in the woods, which is turnkey, and everything worked perfectly. If you're looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle and go enjoy nature at a beautiful cabin, this is the one!

We were floored on the beauty of the property. The house was very clean and clear direction were given for the firewood and wifi. The cozy accommodations were amazing. The drive in was beautiful and exciting with the winding road and scenery. It was a perfect experience Thank you.

Christmas at the Cabin

We had a wonderful stay and Christmas at the cabin. My granddaughters enjoyed the hot tub and skipping stones in the creek. My daughter and I loved the fireplace. We all enjoyed the fire pit. The dogs loved roaming the property. The girls made good use of the games every night. The cabin is lovely and well appointed. Only real negatives were the roads coming in and out.

Perfect Getaway

A perfect place to getaway - clean, comfy and fabulous. Loved the creek being so close, the firepit and hottub. Just what the Dr ordered! Jackie was so quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. Already talking about planning our next trip back.

Beautiful location but not perfect

We have been renting properties in the area for 13 year now. This is a beautiful location but not worth five stars based on description and price. Cons: -First property at this price point that required you to take the trash with you. -WiFi is pretty non-existent. This can be improved with some tree limb cutting by owner. Renters cannot resolve technical issues without owner getting involved. -Check out process is carbon copy of check in. Language contradicts some signage in property. -Very dark inside. Needs some more lighting day or night. -Neighbors property is under construction so there is a good amount of noise as they do work on the weekends there. Pros: -Beautiful location that you can catch some trout. -Relatively new property that was built in 2017. -Comfortable beds. -Well stocked kitchen for pots and pans. -Clean property This place was very nice but not for the price. I already see that it is being offered for significantly cheaper rate than what we paid.

Perfect Getaway!

This cabin was quaint, cute, cozy, and perfect for me, my husband, and our two little boys! They had an amazing time skipping rocks on the stream and were absolutely overjoyed that they had a tv in their shared twin bed bedroom! The cabin was immaculately clean and we really felt very comfortable! This will definitely be where we stay anytime we visit Boone.
