Enjoy beautiful ocean views during the day, and coastline city lights at night. It is located just blocks away from Dana Point Harbor and Doheny State Beach. Explore the area by foot or pedal around town on beach cruisers. Spend some lazy days on the sand or exploring tide pools by the Ocean Institute. Looking for more adventure? Book a whale watching tour, a fishing expedition, a day trip to Catalina, or rent watercraft all right in the Harbor. At nighttime enjoy the convenience of shopping and eating at one of the many restaurants right in Lantern Village. This property comfortably sleeps two and has all the conveniences of home! My stay at the Violet Lantern Spanish revival property was fantastic! The view, ambience, charm, quiet and prime location was outstanding! My host John was wonderful, professional and quick to respond to any question. I have recommended this amazingly charming home to friends in SC. Thanks again-I can’t wait to return to Dana Point.

Wonderful Weekend

Beautiful and close to everything you need

Had a wonderful stay here and loved the house and location. Pretty convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Great views from our balcony, grill on back balcony, comfortable bed and plenty stocked with kitchen cookware and utensils. Great features and accents throughout were true to history of the home

Lovely Dana Point getaway

This house is so unique! Very comfortable, loved spending time on the balconies. Lots of stairs, but well worth the views. Everything is walkable from this place with lots of restaurants and activities nearby. Just a note that they do not provide any reserved parking - you are in your own with whatever street parking is available, which can be challenging on busy weekends.

As one of the few remaining Spanish revival buildings left in Orange County, this apartment reflects the era in its decor and charm. We enjoyed reading about the original builder in the information binder. (Think dark wood, conquistadors and a beautiful fireplace!) While visually appealing, this also meant it was dark and there weren't any lights that were adequate for reading. Luckily I travel with a Kindle. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and all the Romeo and Juliet balconies off every room in the apartment. While the picture shows the entire building, there are narrow stairs that lead to the upper floor apartment.John was very responsive to our questions at check-in. We were traveling with expensive e-bikes and he made space in his garage for overnight storage, which we greatly appreciated. The area is densely populated and I was delighted that it was very quiet. We never had a problem with the on street parking. We did have to move the car once to accommodate the street sweepers.

This 1920's upstairs apartment is spacious with nice outdoor porches having a sea view. Gas fireplace is great. The neighborhood is close to the harbor (5 min drive) and a great base to explore the good restaurant options in Dana Point Lantern district.

Spanish-style apartment in central Dana Point

This apartment is in a historic house and is so cool - the architecture and decor work so well together. Four balconies, including one with ocean views that is large enough for loungers and a fountain. Easy walking distance to PCH, and nice walking distance to the Strand and the harbor. Loved it all!
