"If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back."

"Le lieu est très cocooning, le chalet agréable donne sur une très belle vue. Les accessoires de cuisine nécessiteraient un suivi. Quid de cet appareil avec compteur branché dans la cuisine dont nous n’avons pas obtenu la fonction auprès du propriétaire. Une caméra sur la terrasse.... Le point le plus gênant est l’enclavement du lieu qui nécessite de faire déjà 30’ de voiture sur une très belle mais très petite route avant de rejoindre un grand axe."

"Cosy and practical little house on the very shore at the end of Loch Long, with an incredible view of the Arrochar Alps. It is perfect for 3-4 people, but can hold up to 6. "Views are beautiful, house is comfortable but a little tired. The location and peace and quiet are fabulous, nearest supermarket is 50 minutes drive so come prepared. Perhaps some comfy chairs outside to sit and enjoy the view."

"We stayed at Cockleshell Lodge for 10 days in November and had a fabulous time. The lodge is right on the waters edge and we would have paid for the view alone. It is absolutely stunning. There are dog walks straight from the lodge and no need to get the car ut all around the Ballimore Estate and we met the "Lady of the House" who told us some interesting facts about the estate. The lodge itself is huge ! It has a great entrance with lots of space to leave muddy boots and coats etc. There are...

"The property location was perfect and beautiful. The lodge (Staffa) looks to be very clean and very modernly designed. It had everything we needed for the tree days journey. However, appliances in UK/Scotland are not the same as in the USA. Without instructions, we were able to figure it out after a couple of trial and error. Other than that, it was a wonderful property."

"The lodge was spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need in a self catering property. The bedrooms were nicley decorated and the beds were comfortable. The views from the living room and verrnada were beautiful. . "

"What a great property! Everything was so easy. It was self-check in from a key box. The owners sent mutiple emails detailing the procedures as well as one for what to do when we departed. The property was fantastic and everything we needed was there. I highly recommend this place!"

"The lodge was fabulous. It was spacious, yet cosy. And very well equipped, from everything in the kitchen & utility, to all of the entertainment. We loved the sauna & games room, & the dogs loved the huge garden. They also loved their walks down to Loch Awe. On rainy mornings just chilling in the lodge was lovely. Also, the beds were very comfortable & we all slept well. We visited Inveraray Castle & Jail Museum, Mull, Oban & Loch Lomund. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful holiday. "
