Great hotel for the price, helpful staff, convenient location.

Great hotel, great location, fantastic service!!

We stayed at this property a few weeks ago & gave a 10/10 review. Unfortunately this time we were given a room on the 5th floor. It is either right above the night club or the bar (where there is a DJ). There was loud music playing until 3.30am & then loud customers drinking in the street right outside the hotel until 4am. We got no sleep whatsoever. I went to the reception early the next day to ask to be moved to a room on a higher floor. The lady asked if we had called security the night before to complain. I explained that we did not as I didn't think for a minute they would close down the night club because we thought it was too loud. The staff member was very helpful & apologetic & immediately moved us to another room on the 18th floor. We asked for a refund for the first night's stay - which we did not get - but were offered a $100 credit to be used for breakfast. This hotel is excellent but when you are charging between $500 & $600 per night the noise level needs to be kept down late at night. I would definitely have to be guaranteed a room on a higher floor before I would consider staying here again.
