"Nice modern NEW building, good 180 degree ocean rooftop view, powerful AC, comfortable bedding, but needs some adjustments. "Swing" rope chairs at kitchen counter are very uncomfortable, and are of NO practical value. No toaster which is very strange. Initially no drip coffee maker, it was supplied upon request on day 3. No desk height surface for computer work, the dining room table is six inches too high for keyboard use and kitchen counter has no usable chairs. No plastic pitcher for drinks....

"Kippal was not our first choice, let me explain. We had rented a condo along the beach south of town. Unfortunately, a hurricane, Beryl, had visited the island days before we arrived. The condo we had reserved had not power due to power lines being down, so the owners of the condo we very gracious to provide us with a full refund. "Ya le hace falta remodelación al hotel ya se ve viejo, al menos en la habitación que me quede se junta mucho la humedad, el agua del lavabo y baño saben a sal, en el buffet del desayuno un día se les acabaron los huevos se tuvo que esperar unos 20 minutos a que trajeran más, en el área de la alberca se les acabaron las hamburguesas, en general la variedad en la comida y cena aceptable."

"The absolute highlight of our hotel stay was the terrible quality of the food, truly amazes me how can you have such bad taste in scrambled eggs. We were at the beach and the food selection had ONE SINGLE dish of a pinch of seafood with poorly chopped onions. The schedules were quite limited. We did not have access to all the restaurants—something that is not specified at the time of booking. Upon arrival, there were three receptionists on duty, but only one was trained to handle check-ins; consequently, we ended up waiting over 20 minutes to be assisted. We arrived with a massive amount of luggage, and when the staff approached us, I assumed they would offer us some assistance—a luggage cart, perhaps, or something similar. Instead, they offered us a tour… while we were still fighting to carry all our bags. The room itself was fine, but honestly, considering the price we paid, I felt completely ripped off. The beach area is tiny, and there is absolutely nothing noteworthy about the place. It was a total disaster. The worst experience for our most expensive booking in our trip to Quintana Roo, mind you."

"Lugar muy colorido, limpio, buenas instalaciones. Varias opciones para disfrutar la estancia como actividades acuáticas, tiro con arco, shows nocturnos. El personal muy amable, pendiente de las necesidades de los huéspedes. La comida muy rica, especialmente en el restaurante La Pagoda. Lo único que no me gustó mucho fueron las almohadas, demasiado suaves, cero soporte. Si se requiere algo en especial, sería bueno indicarlo desde la llegada."
