Una piccola gemma!

B&b ricavato all'interno Di um ex convento, ristrutturato con cura ed arredato con Un ottimo stile.Le camere sono ampie e pulite , molto comodo Il materasso! Il bagno pulito con doccia ampia. Lá nostra camera aveva anche una bellissima vista sulla sottostante Val Di Chiana e Il Lago di Trasimeno!! Un grande ringraziamento a tutto lo staff sempre prodigo di consigli ed aiuto per far si che riuscissimo sempre a parcheggiare lá nostra auto nelle vicinanze , a Cortona impresa al limite del possibile!! Da ritornarci sicuramente

Ho soggiornato nella Suite Deluxe Bifore ed è stato tutto perfetto! La camera oltre ad essere iper spaziosa, calda e confortevole, gode di un panorama mozzafiato, da rimanere incantati! È curata nei minimi dettagli, all’interno si trovano oggetti d’epoca affascinanti che contribuiscono a creare un clima unico da lasciarti sospeso nel tempo. Il bagno che all’apparenza sembra piccolo per una suite come questa, gode in realtà di una doccia molto grande e molto confortevole. Il soppalco dove si trova il letto matrimoniale è davvero meraviglioso e spazioso, si tratta di un vero e proprio secondo piano e il lucernario crea un gioco di luci rilassante. L’hotel si trova in pieno centro, tutto è raggiungibile a piedi, per parcheggiare sarà necessario usufruire di un parcheggio gratuito non molto distante e collegato al centro grazie ad una comoda scala mobile, ma se avete valigie pesanti vi consiglio di portare la macchina davanti all’albergo per poi tornare al parcheggio. La colazione è intima e curata, c’è tutto il necessario per accontentare sia chi preferisce mangiare salato e sua chi preferisce la classica colazione italiana. Personale molto gentile e pulizia ottima.

Our 5 day stay in Cortona was amazing. We loved the Bifore. Laura was amazing. She bakes her heart out in the morning to make the best breakfast in Italy!!!! The location of the Bifore was central. It is close to the bus stop, restaurants etc.

Very unhelpful owner

How do I begin. We booked one night only. Check-in was a mess. We arrived around 1 pm but reception was not opened until 2 pm. We tried calling directly to the establishment (for almost 1h) but no answer (nor by email). We also tried to have Hotels.com to get in touch of them but no answer as well. When we finally made it to speak to Mariana (owner) she has us waiting another 40min to get to the hotel and finally check us in. Disrespectful ! As for the installations: Great location, nice breakfast, comfortable room (but if you need to use your mobile or wifi, avoid room located on first floor right outside the elevator ... it's a bunker!! NO telephone coverage or wifi signal at all. We called Mariana and asked her if she would give us another room and she played dumb on us !! Shameless !!! Again we called Hotels.com to complain (which by the way I had to go outside of the hotel to do so) and the solution given by Mariana was charging us 12€ extra for a different room.Seriously? You made us wait 40min to check-in and that's how we are compensated ? Tks but no tks. To sum up, for those who book a room here, good luck !

Le Bifore is unique, I have stayed here twice now and in 2 different suites. The view of the lake from our last stay was amazing. The people here are wonderful. Coming back from a day out is like coming home not back to a hotel. Laura, Margarita and Daniella all have the same focus that nothing is too much trouble. Mariana the owner so welcming and all interested in you. Highly recommended!

Le Bifore Cortona

Idyllic Tuscan hilltop location used in many film sets . Excellent service and local expertise and advice especially from Laura. Le Bifore is little challenging to locate within the old city walls because of one way system. Use free car park on the South side of Cortona and outside escalators to locate the property. Excellent venue we were only disappointed not to have a room with the spectacular views. First class choice of restaurants in easy walking distance at a complete range of prices from great value to Michelin star. Wifi was variable.

The hotel is splendid, the breakfast plentiful and the helpful staff provided impeccable service. I would recommend the hotel unreservedly. Our only regret was the enforced early checkout time (10:00). Location advice: to reach the hotel directly by car, you must drive around the outer city wall of Cortona (SP34), enter the old district by the Porta Colonia, proceed on via Dardano, go pass the stazione Carabinieri to turn left on via Maffei proceed until you reach via Santa Margherita where you must make a very sharp right turn to go down the hill. The hotel is located less than 50 M down the hill and you can park on via Santa Margherita within the white lines.

Beautiful hotel with great view. Breakfast was excellent and staff we very friendly. So close to main part of town. Parking with the car was an adventure. However, hotel meet us at piazza Garibaldi and guided us literally through the town.

Lovely inn with delightful staff

You can't go wrong with Le Bifore inn in Cortona. It's location is superb right in the downtown area Cortona. The ladies that checked me in and made breakfast were so sweet. The rooms and lobby dining area are lovely. I will definitely stay there again!

This is not a hotel it is like you are home from home. Laura Alexandra and Margarita become friends in a moment. Nothing is too much trouble! I really can't fault this hotel in any way.. 11 out of 10 is too little. The most romantic and exclusive location in Tuscany.

The one time you should spring for the suite

Cortona is a such a cute and magical town with views for days. We had booked a normal room, which was to be on the 1st floor, but on arrival we were told that the suite was available and if we wanted to see it we could. The moment we stepped in, my husband and I both knew that we would take the upgrade. The huge, full glazed window looks out over the valley and you see Tuscany in it's full splendor. The design of the place in general is not for me - I'm total minimalist and this place is very Tuscan meets French Chic (shabby chic maybe?) But who cares? The upstairs loft full size bed was comfy, the two arm chairs at the main window were where my husband and I spent most of our time when we were in the room. Parking is a little bit of a nightmare, but the staff is so great! Margarita calmly guided us to Piazza Garibaldi over the phone where she hopped in and then guided through the narrow town streets to a parking spot right out front of the hotel. We knew there was zero chance of getting back into that spot in the future, so we didn't use our car the rest of the time we were in Cortona - which you definitely don't need to anyway! The only negative thing I have to say is that the coffee/espresso was terrible. Breakfast overall was fine, not the best I've had at other BnB's but not the worst either. But the coffee? Something must be wrong with your machine! It tastes super burnt. We tried many different items and they were all quite bad. Really great stay overall!
