FOUR WHEEL DRIVE IS NEEDED FOR THIS HOME!
Have you ever wanted to drive miles of beach, along the ocean to a secluded neighborhood that is only accessible by sand roads? If you answered YES then this is the property for you!! FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED!

This Carova beach oasis beach house sits in the heart of the 4x4 beach. Drive approximately 3 miles up the coast line. Along the way you may even see some of the wild horses taking an afternoon stroll to the water. When you arrive park in the sand and enjoy your stay!!

This beach home is 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom with many amenities to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Start your day with a beautiful sunrise, with a cup of coffee, on the upper deck overlooking the the backyard and views of the ocean. End your fun filled day with a sunset from the hot tub located on the second level deck. Even better, take a seat in the hammock swings under the house and relax to the breeze of the ocean. Take a short walk to the beach or stay at the house and enjoy all things outdoor, like volleyball, badminton or even a game of cornhole! Sports not your thing? No problem your definitely are going to enjoy the screened in porch!! This space is an oasis itself. With plenty of seating its the perfect afternoon relaxation spot! With an open interior that feels just like home, this beach house is bound to make you wanna stay forever!

This property is completely ready to give you and your family a fun filled week at the beach! The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel kitchen aide appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker, crock pot, blender, pots and pans and all kitchen utensils a cook could need! What's better than a fully stocked kitchen?! The Livingroom really steals the show in this property. The big glass sliding doors overlooking the amazing beach views is the perfect amount of natural light. Sit and read a book or enjoy one of the flat screen smart TVs throughout each room of the home. These TVs offer all your streaming services. If its raining outside, don't worry, there are plenty of games like uno, and checkers for your enjoyment. The decks are equipped with chairs and tables to enjoy the views from as well as a large hot tub! Be sure to rinse off all that beach sand in the outdoor shower located under the home! In this 1800 square feet beach house your bound to find something fun to do at "Parked in the Sand."

FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS REQUIRED to get to this home! (All wheel drive vehicles will not make it to this home) Please be advised we recommend airing down your tire pressure to 20PSI. This will help give you traction in the sand. Please don't skip this step. Towing fees on the beach are very expensive and there will be nothing we can do to help with that. Corolla historic park has a free air up/down area for your convenience. This is located at 1160 Village lane Corolla, NC just a couple miles from the entrance of the beach access.


BEACH PARKING:
Parking passes for the beach are required on Currituck County beaches between April 30th- October 1st. This home provides two passes. These are located in the welcome binder inside the home. These MUST be returned to the binder before checking out.

Please note:
There are three security cameras on the outside of the home. A ring doorbell at the main door, one camera facing the backyard/ocean and one camera on the driveway. These cameras are not viewing any part of the inside of the home, hot tub or decks.

We had a wonderful time here with our teens and dog. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook and make dinners most nights. It was perfect weather and we saw wild horses a couple of times while we were here. We loved taking sunset walks. Melina was communicative and helpful and the check-in and out was easy.

We had an amazing time at this property. The location is perfect, close to the beach with ocean views. My kiddos enjoyed meals on the screened in porch. We saw plenty of wildlife, from horses to pelicans to dolphins. We even spotted some deer in the dunes. The house was very clean and comfortable, as well as very well stocked. Driving on the beach was unforgettable. It was also very nice that we could bring our elderly dog. The owners were very responsive and helpful as well. Relaxing getaway

The house met our needs perfectly. We were so close to the beach, and also had quiet privacy. The house had everything we needed for making meals. We loved seeing the horses daily at the house and on the beach. Melina was very responsive when I reached out to her.

We were very pleased with the home. The owner, Melina, is very nice and responsive to messages via VRBO app. Our group consisted of 3 couples and a mini poodle and the house worked well for our group. It did have a nice ocean view from the top level, much better than we were expecting. We plan to return in the future.

Wild!

This was such a thrilling experience for our suburban family! Lowering our tire pressure, driving on the sand...right next to the Atlantic Ocean, wild horses on the beach, in the neighborhood, in the yard!!!!! End of summer stay was perfect

Property exactly as listed. Gorgeous location, well stocked house. Property owner very responsive and informative. She called us to make sure we were prepared for the tropical storm coming. As advertised

This property is exactly as advertised by the photos and description, and it is made even better by the owners, Melina and Corey. Melina is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The four bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with eatery and cutlery and the screened patio dining area is perfect for enjoying the outdoors at night even if the weather or bugs don’t cooperate. Wild horses visited the property almost daily. For a property that invites pets, you would never know there were animals at the house. The property keeps a secluded charm while also being conveniently located adjacent to a beach access road that made walks to the beach and bringing the loaded truck down to the water very easy. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas are provided as well as boogie boards and beach games. Our family enjoyed the stay at Parked in the Sand very much and would recommend booking a stay in Corolla at this property.

The house was absolutely perfect for our family. We had always wanted to stay at Carova - the location and accommodations exceeded our expectations. The perfect family vacation!!!

We cannot say enough good things about Melina and the Parked In The Sand rental!! The home exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings with only the peaceful sounds of the crashing waves and horses passing through. The house was equipped with the all essentials of home and then some! This was our first time staying on the 4x4 beach and we all said we would definitely come back and at stay here again.

Wonderful family vacation

We had a wonderful time at the property (grandparents/daughter/grandkids). The kids loved being so clean to the beach, and with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms there was plenty of room for all. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and grandma and grandpa especially enjoyed sipping coffee while watching the sunrise from the 3rd floor deck. The kitchen has all the equipment and appliances needed to cook whatever meals you want and we used the giant pot to make a delicious seafood boil while there. The home is comfortable and very nicely decorated and inviting. The teens with us appreciated having WiFi and TVs in each bedroom. The host Melina was so helpful and patient with answering all our questions. Please do heed the advice and be sure you have 4WD vehicle with good clearance - with the number of vehicles being towed out of the sand, the towing company was doing a brisk business! Even the preteen & teen with us said they weren’t bored and want to stay here again, which is high praise from them.

Great weekend getaway!!

We thoroughly enjoy the 4x4 section of Carova, and this house exceeded expectations for our stay! Communication with the home owners was easy. We appreciate being able to book a beach house for less than a week with flexible check in/check out dates. This is one of the only properties we’ve seen that lets you do that! The house was clean, well-maintained, well-stocked and had working appliances. We had a very relaxed stay and are looking forward to our next trip!

More like staying at a friend’s house

I thought I’d have a good time and enjoy my stay at this lovely beach house, but the house and Melina far surpassed my expectations! I think this house was the cleanest rental I have stayed at in the 10+ years of renting homes. And there was plenty…. Plenty of hot water, towels, dishes, beautiful views, you name it. It was more like staying at a friend’s house than a rental! I had a little trouble figuring out the electronic door lock when I arrived (my first time using that particular one) but Melina answered my call right away and talked me through it. Apparently there had been a rain storm and power outages before I had arrived and the internet/WiFi wasn’t working but once again, Melina picked up right away and together we and the service provider figured it out quickly. I cannot say enough positive things about my stay. Wonderful!! 10 ⭐️ Thanks, Melina! I hope to return again soon!

Paradise in the Sand

This house every single thing to make your visit relaxing. Games, hot tub, comfortable beds, cozy couches, and the kitchen is so well thought out and stocked. They even have a waffle maker! Family Fun

We had a great family vacation at Parked in the Sand. The kids loved the off road experience to get to the house, and we all enjoyed seeing the horses around the house in the morning. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was very well stocked. Great Stay!

We had a fabulous vacation! Been staying on the 4x4 for a number of years and never stayed several rows back, and it totally worked!! There was 9 of us in our party, and the house was a great size! Easy access to the beach whether walking or using the provided beach passes. Covered porch is fantastic, views from upstairs, hot tub was fresh. Once you stay here you’ll want to come back again and again! The Owner is incredibly attentive, accessible, and friendly. Well done!

Five Star Accommodations!

This vacation home is absolutely perfect! Extremely clean… Beautifully decorated. The kitchen is equipping with everything you need and more! All new appliances and plenty of space to prepare meals. Every room was very cozy and comfortable. Beds are extremely comfortable too! Very nice towels and bedding! My family could not get enough of the corn hole and card games. We spend every evening on the screened in porch off of the kitchen playing games and every morning having coffee there too!! Absolutely perfect place to relax and visit with one another. Very nice hot tube on the second floor deck. Very close to the beach. Beautiful views of the ocean. Very easy walking distance but can definitely drive 4X4 right up to beach if desired. The host provides beach park pass which is amazing too! The hosts communication was superb! They checked in regularly to see if we needed anything and went above and beyond the night we arrived. We arrived after dark and needed some guidance on entering the beach to drive to the home. So very helpful!! They even called to make sure we made it there safely! The nicest kindness hosts we have ever encountered and we have been to the OBX many times!

Absolutely Amazing in EVERY way!

WOW!! This is a beautiful home, in a beautiful area with an amazing beach with sand dunes and roaming wild horses all around you! No words could do it justice. The house was even more amazing in person than the pics show and we could see more of the ocean than expected. It was so nice that the hot tub was not under the deck too so we could see the stats at night! Horses came either in our yard or down our road EVERY day!! They are beautiful and it is so cool that they are the descendants of the Spanish wild mustangs from the 1500s 😱🐴 The grill, volleyball net, hammock chairs, beach chairs, corn hole, board games and all of the extras made this trip even more fun and convenient! The screen porch with the battery operated candles made for a romantic, peaceful, fun place to eat dinner and it also was a great place to eat lunch as we watched the horses approach! It was also a great place to play games! The house decor is beautiful and comfortable and you will have EVERYTHING you need esp in the kitchen, which means a lot to these foodies! Our trip started off with a first time drive on the beach, and it was fun driving on the sand! We immediately saw horses on the beach 🙌 We then unloaded our stuff at the house to find a very thoughtful and yummy present in the fridge - a charcuterie box with a sweet note that was delish and the snacks took the edge off so we could head to the beach for awhile. What a very nice idea! It was gourmet and so yummy! I own a house at Holden Beach, NC and i grew up going on vacations to Hilton Head. I LOVE them both still, but i think this was my fav vacay yet and this place is AMAZING!! We had so much fun and both my teenagers told me how good i did finding this place! They thanked me every day and i got many hugs, esp when the horses came in our yard for over an hour and they went under the house/through the garage area! If you have teenagers, or know one, then you understand how great this was and felt lol! We made many great family memories from shell collecting, fun beach days, horse watching, relaxing in the hot tub, fishing, grilling our catch as we played cornhole and volleyball, eating delicious candlelit dinners on a beautiful screen porch w a beautiful setting of sand dunes and beach in front of us listening to the ocean waves, and many more! I could go on for days about how great and nice the owners are and how easy they made everything. They left nothing to be desired-unless they want to sell their home!
