Nice house. Beach Realty no so nice.

Upon arrival the pool was green and hadn't been cleaned in several weeks. Management company said it wasn't an emergency and they'd get to it tomorrow. Pool was ok 3 days later but we never got to use it. Hot tub was also dirty and not cleaned for several weeks. They drained and cleaned it Saturday and we were able to use it. House was nice and comfortable but housekeeping was not very good. Beach Realty showed no concern. I would recommend the house but beware of Beach Realty management. Owners should look elsewhere for a management company that really looks out for them as the home is comfortable and roomy. Nothing was offered to us for the pool not being useable, which is what we asked for in the VRBO search Pool / Hot Tub Pet friendly. It is also listed as Oceanfront but there is no walkway from the house to the beach. it is one full house down.

Outer Banks adventure

This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and it was lovely. Our family of 11 had plenty of room in this home. Overall, would recommend this property. Pro: location (boardwalk to beach is one house over), beach not crowded, walking distance (.5-.7miles flat walk) to lots of shops, restaurants, rentals, and grocery store. If you wanted a one stop beach location this could be it. You could drive here and then walk for everything else you wanted to do. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Hot tub was great. Kitchen well supplied with pots and pans. Upper floor is great, huge dining table, wide open space for large family gatherings. Cons: no “beach closet” (most VRBO properties we’ve stayed in have a closet with beach toys, left over chairs and umbrellas, cooler etc… didn’t see that here) but we did leave our stuff behind so maybe the next person will enjoy it. Many baths had very small shower stalls with curtains that stick to your legs when showering, doors would be a nice upgrade. Very firm beds (could be a pro if you like that). Dunes have grown up to impede view from top balcony (totally understand that’s an ecological issue and can’t be fixed but the view is moderately disrupted because of it). Aged decor and design in the lower and mid levels. Need furniture replacement on the upper level, the couches are past their prime. Northerner location on OBX, good if you prefer more quiet. Traffic can be significant getting to the location.

1. Filthy mold growing behind toilet!, and wall! The entire house sways like it’s going to fall down

Every time I touched something I couldn’t wait to wash up! After spending that much money we should be at a 5 star rental!, yours is maybes a 2? Very sad and frustrated! Thank you! But will never stay here again! Oh!, the house sways so either the house or the deck is ready to go, let’s just pray it doesn’t kill anyone!

Very helpful staff. Prompt response. Had a nice stay

We had a good stay. It was a gathering of old friends with a few kids. The house was large and very nice for most part. The bathroom showers were tiny in at least a few rooms with very cheap fixtures . The staff on the other side of my texts were extremely helpful, helping us quickly with the shortage in towels. They even managed to get the broken stairwell fixed in a few days.. good view of the ocean and access to the beach

Pleasant

Great location, pool small and cold, steps to beach need to be serviced, the bedroom closets in the house had piles of pillows, and blankets thrown in, not organized and not sure if they were all clean or not, so didn’t use them. Bathroom showers need to be renovated, shower curtains would stick to your body while showering. Kitchen nice, house very spacious.

Great stay!

The property was in an excellent location, was well-maintained, excellently equipped and clean. Our only issue was the proximity of the charcoal BBQs near the bushes in the back of the house. Those bushes need to be cleared away from the BBQs. During the dryer months to come they pose a potential fire hazard.
