High View Hideaway is convenient to many destinations in beautiful Schoharie County yet private enough for your vacation relaxation and pleasure. Enjoy nature, wildlife and fresh air. Rich with history and beauty, this home is near the Catskill and Adirondack Mountain ranges and the Erie Canal and Mohawk Valley. It is also within walking distance to state land managed by DEC. It's just minutes to Cobleskill, Schoharie, Summit, Middleburgh, Cooperstown, Oneonta, Schenectady, Albany, and Saratoga too. High View Hideaway is three hours from NYC and easily accessible from the NYS Thruway and I88.

We had a very nice stay at this home. The hosts are very easy to talk to and respond quickly. The house is cozy, super clean, great space and is set in the most gorgeous setting overlooking the mountains. This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back!!

Amazing place!

We came here for a weekend horse show, and this place was like a home away from home. After being at the show grounds 12 hours, it was like home sweet home.

Secluded family friendly hideaway

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable, clean, and as pictured. The location was close to the venue for the wedding we were attending at Seven Ponds Farm. The view was beautiful and the kids had so much fun exploring the property and fishing at the pond. A very quiet peaceful place to stay for a restful weekend. Thank you!

Family getaway

We got to this property at night so we didn’t see the view till we woke up. All I have to say is Wow, what a wonderful way to wake up! The cabin was so charming and had everything you need and some. I highly recommend this wonderful property and if you do get a chance to stay here definitely take a stroll around the property. It’s pretty amazing!

Peaceful Mountain View

Very peaceful,wish we had more time to spend on the property. We were in the area for our grandson playing baseball in Cooperstown. The best furnished house we ever stayed in. Lisa was very helpful,with questions we had. Enjoyed watching the ducks, wild turkeys and deer in the early morning. If we're going to be in the area this would definitely be the place to stay. Fabulous

The property is spectacular. We enjoyed outdoor activities and swimming in the lake with the bullfrog! There was nothing missing from the home. All we needed were our personal items. Wish we didn't live so far away.

Picture perfect

Lovely, supportive and available owners. The property, HighView, sits overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains. Beautiful Fall coverage. The home itself is in excellent condition, well maintained and fully stocked. We had uninterrupted cell coverage and plenty of computer band width. Plenty of hot water for showers, dishwasher and washing machine. We had an excellent family reunion only enhanced by our stay at HighView. We hope to stay here again.

A beautiful home in a beautiful setting

We traveled up from other parts of NY to visit family and a birthday party. The listing photos do not do this gorgeous home justice! It is beautifully appointed and decorated, extremely clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It is private, serene, quiet and peaceful. The view from the front porch is stunning, and the property is beautiful. Lisa and Randy made sure we were ok at check in (which was very easy) and left us a welcome basket with s’mores ingredients and sticks. We spent the whole weekend admiring everything about the home and surroundings and were at the perfect distance from our family members homes. We would not hesitate to come back!

Gorgeous setting, clean and nice touches

Our family had a wonderful stay at Randy and Lisa’s rental property. The house was very clean and there were so many nice touches. They left us a basket of supplies to make S’more’s and skewers too and they even had the wood in the fire pit ready to go. The property is gorgeous overlooking mountains, wildflowers and a pond. They had mowed trails around the property that were perfect for walking/running. Our family loved all the hooks in the house to hang stuff, there were hooks everywhere, it was great!! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunset the first night we were there. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to other family members.

One of a kind experience

We had one of the best stays in a while! This property is so much nicer than in the listing photos. The hosts are nearby and you might come across them, but they are very respectful and responsive to anything you may need. The location is great, especially if you are looking for quiet, privacy, amazing views and lots of safe space for the kids to run around and have fun. The hosts have thought of small details (like s'mores, plenty of outdoor toys) to make our stay even more fun. The treehouse needs some repairs, but I'm sure they'll take care of that ahead of the summer months. Last, but not least, this was one of the cleanest properties we've ever stayed at, and we have stayed in quite a few. Very pleased overall and we're hoping to be back soon!

Picture perfect

We stayed here for a long weekend. It was a weekend too get away, unplug, and recharge. While the house was fully equipped with high-speed internet and Roku TV with Netflix and Disney, it was also stopped with board games that we all sat on the floor and played together as a family. The property was spotless and the owners Lisa and Randy were just a text message away for anything we needed. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because of an emergency at home but we definitely plan to come back to the spot. It was our first VRBO rental, and will definitely not be our last. Thank you Lisa and Randy!
