"Had a great time at the Shanghai Jingan Pullman. Ryan, who checked us in, was awesome and upgraded us to a full suite with a really lovely bathtub. Watch for the weird steps and changes in elevation (which I think is a china architectural thing overall), though. The light switches were a little confusing as well, but otherwise place was super clean and modern looking. They will give you as much bottled water as you want too, if you ask. We had the do not disturb sign on but asked them to...

"Nice, large, clean rooms. Very helpful doormen who were happy to help when we had issues/questions about ride share requests. We had a problem with reservations we made for seasonal afternoon tea. The promoted cherry blossom tea was not available when we showed up for a reservation we made that there was no record of. Several staff members would benefit from hospitality training. We found several lacking in basic knowledge about the hotel. Hotel would benefit from more English speaking staff."

Specifically, Sinnie took the time to help us with dinner and transportation that made our stay exceptional. When we travel again to Shanghai, we will be staying at the Amara due to Sinnie great help as well as the wonderful hotel."
