"Isolated location but convenient for hiking, fishing, etc. Cottages are well constructed and comfortable. Try to get one a bit away from the restaurant. Good choice for younger travelers looking to enjoy the outdoors; not so much for older people with any mobility issues."

"Upon arrival, we noticed the front door looked like it was broken into at some point. The carpet was coming off the floor. The bathroom has cracked tiles and poor paint cover up jobs. The shower drain did not work. The bed had spiders and blood stains. There were holes in the walls. The towels were crusty, like it hasn’t been washed. The staff were nice and the location was good, but those are literally the only positive things. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re passing through or...

"I have stayed here before, the location is perfect, but this time everything was a mess. we got there July 3rd got into our room spent the day walking around. came back the place was overrun by underage teenagers. drinking yelling load music, they were on the 2nd floor, first incident was when they were knocking trash and speakers onto our car. calm conversation, thought everything was fine. we went out for the night came back to the room at midnight went to bed. AT 1:30 in the morning all hell...

"Beautiful room right on the river. Slept with the window open and enjoyed the sounds of the river. Basic room - Very clean, modern room. Will definitely return, especially in the winter when it snows. If you come in the summer, bring an inner tube to cruise down the lake. Highly recommend for a basic, inexpensive alternative to South Lake, which is only 30 min away."

"Requested a handicapped room and was not given one. Ended up slipping and falling in the shower. Overall was just ok. Wish the would have payed attention to the request for handicap accessibility."

"Easy check in and out since it was done by yourself. Overall the hotel was nice, had a shared kitchen with all utensils and a stove to cook if you needed it. Front door need a seal around it, toilet seat needs tightened also toilet wobbled a little as well. Bathroom window screen needs replaced was letting in bugs. Other than that Decent location away from all the hustle and bustle."

"Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money...

"We had a fantastic stay at Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning wooden interior that gives it a real mountain lodge feel. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal too, tucked away in a quiet setting but only a short drive from local shops, restaurants and other amenities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
