"The place is private, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Dave, the owner, even warned us of an approaching storm and advised us on how to protect screen porch furniture upholstery from getting wet, so communication was excellent, too. "

"The property I think is as described and the location by the causeway is pretty fantastic, that is the big draw. Being able to walk/ride out to the causeway is excellent. Little things though marred the experience for me. Tiny coffee machine that is a little broken (top falls off, often into cup as you pour) - very cheap and can only make 2 cups. No coffee filters provided. Toaster is tiny, cheap and a bit hard to use. There is no established path so you are just trotting about 50 yards across...

"I book a fishing trip each year for my dad, a friend of mine, and me. This year we stayed at this lovely property in Pelots bay. Interior was as advertised, clean, and had beautiful rooms. As others have mentioned, there are quite a few steep stairs down to the dock/water, so if you’ve got small kids/anyone with limited mobility, just be aware of that going in. We were in the area for the University of Vermont graduation weekend and it was awesome to be able to book this property for just the 2 nights that we needed. "We were very excited to arrive at this beautiful location, however, the listing doesn't accurately describe this rental. Be aware that the windows don't close properly (or at all), there is a lot of noise during the night, properly critters. This unit is above someone and the neighbors are quite close. Very nice ferry driver! If you are into a glamping experience, it is worth it, but the price should reflect this."

"I had a great experience at this property! It was the perfect place to watch the eclipse, and made a a great home base. I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was, as far as dining ware and cookware goes. We needed to call Albert to turn up the heat, but he arrived promptly and was very pleasant to interact with. We loved the decor of the place, and would love to return if we find ourselves in the neighborhood again."

"We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite bad weather all week. The property is as described. The view was lovely and we appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of dishes, cutlery, pots & pans. The only potential issue is that the stairs to the 2nd floor bedrooms are very steep, as others have noted, and our dog wasn’t able to climb them. Other than that, the place was very comfortable and it was great to get away."

"We are a family of six and a dog and stayed at the property for our daughter’s college graduation weekend. As clean and well kept as can be with everything needed to host some additional family for a few meals. And views that never end with plenty to do and explore in the immediate area. "I chose this location because it was right on the water, and pet friendly, prerequisites for our vacation choice. The house is beautiful inside; clean, roomy, and perfect for our family size and gathering. We were celebrating my 70th birthday, and it could not have been a more memorable experience. "The property was excellent, of course...on the water, facing west, very quiet, immaculate neighborhood. Bit of an old, musty smell - like an old camp. Did not bother us but it was there. Very easy directions and instructions for use of the property. Uber was easy picking up and dropping off. Towels and linens were very clean. Thank you for a great stay."
