Ocean View Lodge - Private Mullaway position

  • The environmentally sensitive zoning of the property ensures that the bush surrounding the one acre property abounds with wildlife. Kangaroos graze on the lawn, kookaburras keep watch on the deck, black cockatoos fly overhead and a myriad of birds feed in the grevillea bushes. Perch yourself on the deck or the headland to view dolphins and whales or be simply mesmerised by the ever changing seascape.

    Darkum is located 20 minutes north of Coffs Harbour. Only a few minutes drive from the relaxed seaside town of Woolgoolga with its restaurants, cafes, shops and art gallery. A one minute walk along the beach access track north to Cabins Beach or south to Darkum Beach will take you to some of the best fishing, surfing and swimming places on the north coast of NSW.
    Darkum offers two well appointed accommodation units - Ocean View Lodge and Grevillea Garden Villa.

    Ocean View Lodge is available for holiday rental and sleeps 6-8 in three large downstairs bedrooms. In addition an ensuite and second bathroom with separate toilet ensure that three couples or two families can enjoy the facilities. Upstairs is comprised of a large kitchen/dining/ living area with two enormous decks. The front deck offers breathtaking views of the ocean, beaches and hinterland south to Woolgoolga. The back deck has you barbecuing and dining in the treetops. Feeding a group is not a chore rather a delight utilising the fully equipped spacious kitchen surrounded by spectacular views. After completing extensive renovation to the property, this family invite you to experience a holiday that will stay in your memory forever.

    Linen is supplied for your stay at Ocean View Lodge. An external camera is at this property.

    Note: Cardow & Partners Terms and Conditions are valid for any bookings made through external 3rd party booking systems. We require an online guest registration to be filled out and submitted through a secure online portal. Excellent property in stunning location. Very well equipped. Had everything you wanted for a great holiday. Superb open plan kitchen lounge diner with views to die for. Great bedrooms with very comfy beds. 2 decks to lounge or eat on. Could have stayed for weeks. Highly recommended

Outstanding location

This is a wonderful house,in a great location with fantastic views from the upstairs open kitchen and living area. The kitchen and BBQ facilities are first class with everything you need to prepare meals worthy of the view. It is a great place for an extended family to holiday together. There space for a group to be together, but also large bedrooms and separate areas to enjoy some solitude.

Fabulous house

We stayed at Ocean View Lodge for four nights in the middle of May to celebrate the birthday of a friend who lives locally. The location is amazing, fantastic views and fabulous house. Really peaceful location. The house has everything you could want. Large comfortable bedrooms and great bathrooms. The upstairs decks are great. You can sit on the backdeck and see right through to the view from the front deck. Great dining facilities and comfortable couches. We will definitely be back and will bring our families. PS fed ourselves for the whole four days with mudcrabs caught at Red Rock and fish caught off the beaches and rocks a minutes walk down the track.

Lovely Spot

This was our first visit to Mullaway - on initial arrival we were confused as the house has two dwellings attached with permanent residents on the other side - lovely people but would be good to know! The house is very modern and tastefully decorated, great appliances and amazing view - it would benefit from a few small additions such as a baby gate at the top of the stairs and the couch cushions are in need of re-covering as it constantly expels feathers! The house would also benefit from a big spring clean (under beds and couches were pretty bad) and bathrooms weren't in the cleanest condition - we would definitely stay again but would prefer these problems attended to first! There are plenty of beautiful walks along the coast which is easily accessed from the house - a must do!

Beautiful property

We had such a great time at mullaway, beach at your door step, kookaburras and kangaroos in the back yard. It was a very relaxing week the kids and us had a great time .
