"I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside. I'm definitely going...

"Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."

The staff of the Turk's Head were consummate professionals: the one who showed me up to my room offered to carry my suitcase, gave me a tour of the premises, and recommended their favourite ice cream shop. "First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date. "

"Easy to find and had plenty of parking when I arrived. Communication for check in and check out was very good. The ensuite room was great - very clean, nice temperature, and very well-appointed. The lodge does not offer breakfast or dining but is just a 5 minute walk into the city centre. Overall it was great value - can highly recommend and would return. "
