"I had a night's stop over at Banbury and chose Ashlea Guest House based on the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. I had a warm welcome from Julie and a quick check-in. Julie gave me a map of the locale and pointed out places to eat. My room was clean and had everything I needed - a super-comfortable kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with plenty of hot water via an electric shower, big fluffy towels and some nice touches such as magnifying makeup mirror, cotton wool pads and buds. "Our stay was really nice,as our hosts were so so kind and attentive,nothind was too much trouble for them. We had a few drinks in the bar before enjoying a nice meal. Cannot praise our hosts enough for their help and kindness in making our brief 1 night stay enjoyable. "

"Overall very impressed with Cotswolds Hotel & Spa. Booked a family room and although it was not made up for 4 people when we arrived, it was quickly resolved. The room was very hot, even with windows open but they had provided a fan. 3 out of four of us paid for breakfast. The fourth person only wanted a filter coffee. Think they could have thrown that in free of charge as 3 were paying full price, but that is only a nice to have."

"Quirky and typically old-English. Whist the room was small, it was quiet and very comfortable. The staff, especially the dining room waitresses, were friendly and suitably attentive. We enjoyed our meals and the location suited us very well."

"The hotel is located in a shopping mall and the property is NOT visible from any road. No sign pointing to the hotel either. Very hard to find the hotel. The room is clean and everything worked. No house keeping for the 3 days we stayed. All meals must be pre-purchased. "

"Love this little gem of a hotel. Quirky and all the rooms are very different but always comfortable. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming and breakfast and wifi is included which is a nice touch at this price range. Don't expect 5* or a perfectly maintained hotel but you will have a comfortable and great value stay in a nice location with plenty of free parking. "
