"Everything was just as described. We like low key, hang at a house, fish, and play table games type places and this was perfect. Felt secluded, but town is close if you need anything and the little section of the lake was so peaceful! Fans were nice outside on the covered porch and the dock/pontoon was good for 4 people to fish off of. Only 1 1/2 hrs from Raleigh, which was a plus since family was coming up from State. GO PACK!"

"Very nice place. Enjoyed our stay. Close to Bluestone Boat Ramp. Host answered all questions quickly. Boat dock was a little far but they provided a golf cart. We went to Bluestone to load our family on the boat. "

"Outside pictures are not accurate. Does not show that it’s in a RV trailer park with other barns and trailers close by. We didn’t end up staying. We were down for a rustic honeymoon experience but this was a little too much, we wanted a little privacy, and also we didn’t realize there wasn’t a stovetop or hot plate in the kitchen. "I spent two nights on the property. The sign on the road is sometimes hard to see for the turn off. There are permanent resident families living in houses and RVs on the property right next to the house where you stay, so if that bothers you, or if loose dogs bothers you it might not work for you. It appears to be an old tobacco farm, with historical buildings on the property and plenty of woods to frolic in. I was here for the fishing so I didn't spend much time on the property but on Lake...
