"Beautiful property out of the bustle of nearby Ambleside or Hawkshead. Lovingly cared for and staffed. Gorgeous views, delicious breakfast and dinner, and a hot shower. Hikes out the door. 5 minute walk to Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top. We hope to return."

"Absolutely loved the location but a few things need addressing: Some kitchen utensils are no linger fit for purpose eg. Tin opener Chipped mug Kettle needs descaling Frying pan needs replacing Not enough soap/shower gel provided for a 5 night stay Sock left in the washing machine from previous occupants "

"Beautiful views,so peaceful. Plenty of wildlife to watch and stunning walks and scenery. Property was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Highly recomended for a magical getaway."

"Location excellent, all within walking distance or short drive. Clean to a point, the bed linen and bathroom were clean, however the entire apartment was tired and shabby. The walls were mouldy and the electrics need an overhaul. The fan heater in the bathroom is a disaster waiting to happen. The central heating is pathetic so without the fire the place was freezing. So much equipment and facilities not or nearly working, one side of the toaster, the electric blanket, the dimmer in the main...

"El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones. La habitación limpia y la atención del personal muy buena. Buen desayuno."

"Amazing place to stay. First time staying in a B&B having favoured hotel stays in the past and what a nice change in made. From the warm and friendly welcome and throughout the 3 day stay everything met or exceeded our expectations. The room (Burley) at the top of the house was amazing with a roll top bath in the room, the most comfortable of bed and just the ambiance of the house made the experience even better. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were super friendly too."

"Perfect location and the breakfast was beautiful. Thank you"

"Well located and great service. Incredible surroundings "

"Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean."

"I enjoyed my stay, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was large and comfortable and breakfast was good. The location is stunning, right on the lake near the ferry pier. I’d recommend staying here as a great base to explore the area"
