"I would definitely recommend a stay at Brantfell House. The English breakfast was lovely. Our bed was VERY comfortable!
Adie is full of knowledge and enthusiasm about the area, and is happy to provide recommendations when asked. We felt really welcome here. There is not much parking, so Adie goes out of his way to help out!"

El cuarto era muy pequeño y por preservar un estilo, hay cosas desafortunadamente incómodas para el viajero o la vida de hoy. El baño tenía una pileta de pie, cero lugar para apoyar los 2 necessaires de viaje. Las canillas eran de fria por un lado y caliente por el otro. Sin mezcladora. "All the staff were very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for you. All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had! Perfect setting for a relaxing and reset away."
"Beautiful house,very clean and I saw them cleaning the room after we left and it was very thorough. Food superb and substantial with canapes and sorbet mouth cleansers we could not finish a substantial main course and no room for desert.

"Room was a good size, upgraded from what we booked which was a nice surprise, we arrived early and checked if the room was ready which it was so again this was a bonus! No staff on site that we saw but didn’t really need anyone, free to come and go as we pleased and the property felt secure and safe we even left the patio doors open to allow fresh air in, perfect location. Quiet spot in walking distance of Ambleside pubs would definitely return. "
"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere.
The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.
All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "
