When we arrived to our original unit, it had a strong smell of urine-particularly in the stairwell- we also noticed there were deodorizers on each of the 3 windows in that area so clearly something was not right. I contacted the management and they quickly responded with an alternate property nearby. Odor aside, this was a much better setup for our group. Our agent was extremely courteous and professional.We were very pleased with how it all turned out. Thank you

This was a great place to stay! We couldn’t have asked for a better location and the set up was lovely. The only complaints were way too many bugs in the apartment (I know some are unavoidable but there were an excessive amount) and the front two bedrooms were extremely loud at night to the point where it was difficult to get a good night sleep.

Guesthouse Charleston is a perfect location for a group getaway. Five lovely bedrooms, so everyone has a bit of privacy, and lovely gathering areas. Great location just a block off upper King Street.

Five senior women, friends for life

The house was perfect for a 4 day trip. Five bedrooms three full baths, 1/2 bath downstairs. It took us about a day to get acclimated, but the results were experiencing a free bus system, and learning about the town well enough to shop, eat two fantastic meals a day, enjoy a horse carriage ride, visiting art galleriev…and enjoying each other and our accommodations.

Fabulous Spacious Property in the Heart of Charleston

Spent a girls’ weekend with four other friends and loved this guesthouse. We each had our own room and the bathrooms were all newly renovated. Spacious kitchen, living room and charming outside porch and courtyard with couches. It was just a few blocks from King Street and all of the shops and restaurants. The owners were very communicative and the house was well appointed. We hope to return sometime soon!

Overall very good experience

The property is in a great location and we felt safe throughout. The house is set up a bit weirdly - one enclave of rooms at the end of a 2nd floor porch walk, one room off the porch and one room upstairs in the main house, perhaps a converted living quarters? It wasn’t a big deal but caught us off at first. The house was otherwise great - large living room/kitchen space, great bathrooms and showers. And again, super location!

Great Place for Families

As many of you know, finding a place to stay in a town you're not familiar with can be pretty daunting. We took a chance on this property and I'm so glad we did! We had three couples and three teenagers and everyone agreed the house worked out great. It was located in a cute area with a small community convenience store right across the street. And it was just a few short blocks to King Street (lots of shopping and restaurants-El Jefe and Halls Chophouse were our favs and within walking distance). The living room, nicely-stocked kitchen and a half bath (w/ washer dryer) are located downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs. The bedroom at the top of the stairs is a full/queen with an attached bath. Then you exit out a door, onto a porch, and the entrance to the second bedroom (full/queen, attached bath) is on the left. You keep going on the porch and then enter the last door and there are three bedrooms (two full/queens and one king). Two bathrooms are back there as well. The spacing is nice as it gives everyone a little privacy. There's also a great outside patio and porch with rockers to enjoy. Bonus, the house comes with two parking spots! We all agreed we would def stay there again.

Great house!

The layout of the house is such that you can pick if you want to stay in the area of the house alone or with three other rooms, which was convenient for our group. Very, very clean and decorated nicely. The beds all slept amazing! I tried a few since I couldn’t sleep in the room facing Spring Street due to the street noise. I’m a very light sleeper and nothing helped. The others said they were fine. The coffee carafe was broken when we arrived and was a little bit of a bummer since we all prefer brewed coffee versus the keurig but at least we had that option and there are a plethora of coffee shops in walking distance. Sadly, it was unseasonably cold while we were there and parts of the house were drafty. The pipes also froze so we had no hot water on checkout day. I read a review that this happened last January. That is just Mother Nature so no one can help that. We would definitely rent this house again and keep our fingers crossed for better weather. The porches and courtyard would be perfect to enjoy the outdoors. It was just too cold and windy the weekend we visited. We did communicate with the management several times during our stay and they were kind enough to let us know the unit was ready before checkin. We also asked if we could use an additional parking space as this one only has two and our group was 5 adults traveling at separate times in 3 separate vehicles. They were kind enough to let us park in another unit’s space.

Great property

This was a great property for a large group of couples and some singles. Spaces still felt separate, and the house was super clean and cozy. Great outdoor spaces as well. Would totally recommend and would stay again!

Great place

The place is fantastic. Bedrooms are great, good common area and kitchen, multiple bathrooms, and an excellent outdoor hang area. Also close to king street which is a huge plus!! Would definitely recommend.

Great communication from house manager

This house was super cute! Beautifully decorated and PERFECTLY clean!!! I am a clean freak and I was impressed with this property. We loved the walking distance to everything. This house does have outdoor access to the other 4 bedrooms, which we were ok with but just not expecting it. Also only 1 towel and wash cloth per person are provided. The parking address & house address are different which we didn't realize when ordering groceries to. Still 5 starts, still totally recommend this house!!! Just things to note if you are staying there to be prepared for.

Pleasant Stay in Charleston

The property was great for our group of 9. Kitchen was well stocked for a large group and a great gathering place. The outside patio area is a huge bonus and we loved chatting there in the mornings and evenings. House was spotless and the staff was very responsive and helpful to any questions and requests. Charleston Charm…..

The house is very family/group friendly. Great kitchen area attached to a living room area. Loved the outside patio area. Great for hosting friends. Nice area also to sit in the porch. The bedrooms upstairs are fine. The bathrooms are newly redone. There were a couple of issues and I called for assistance. They were there right away and took care of the problem. Would highly recommend.

Christmas Stay in Unprecedented Freezing Weather

We were a little surprised about how the home was laid out. We could not tell from the floor plan but it's perfect for multiple families. Unfortunately, it was well below normal temps and our pipes froze the first night so we didn't have any hot water. Our property manager was able to move us to a slightly smaller property just steps away from the original one, shortly after we contacted them and it was nice and toasty with running hot water! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the convenience of the location. Highly recommend!

Lovely spot in downtown Charleston

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Well designed space gave room for all the amenities and was very comfortable. Many wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well as access to the tours into the French Quarter and the Battery. Easy access to freeway and Ashley river road

Home away from Home

We had a group of women come and stay at this lovely home. It was in a perfect location close to Kings Street restaurants and bars. Cartra, the free shuttle service to the Historic Downtown area was just a block away. We also had the option to stroll down Kings Street to shop on our way home. The house was the perfect size for our group with our own space to share outside in the courtyard. We would definitely stay here again

Guest house 62 is a real winner

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The house layout was great for privacy with a larger group of people. Would definitely return if we came back to Charleston. Management was very helpful with anything we needed. Great vacation!
