"I was hoping that they would connect our rooms since I booked them together for our family/kids, but they couldn't accommodate. The bar closed very early for a weekend, just my opinion. And the Kelpies was supposed to be a 15 minute walk as advertised by everyone, but nothing is mentioned about how unsafe it is to walk areas that have no sidewalk. "We booked this hotel due to the dog friendly room and the spa. However the furnishings in the room were dirty and stained (large stains on curtains and pillows) the shower was surrounded by mould and the doorway was bumped and chipped. The spa was dirty throughout both in the changing rooms and the swimming pool area, mosaic tiles were missing and dirty water with hairs in was pooling on even surfaces. "This was the best place we have ever stayed. One of the owners of this converted bank building greeted us personally and made us feel very welcome. The room and property were top notch. The location is amazing. There is so much to see here. Literally in direct sight of the Linlithgow Palace and church. An absolute dream of a place to stay. We cannot wait to come back! "Fantastic stay. Stayed many times in a snug pod for business maybe 15 times a year. Tried a cabin for first time because the price was cheaper than normal. Amazing, shame its too expensive to do more often. Only downside was the wifi was hit and miss but overall very good"
