"Have stayed before and was very pleased. Lovely big rooms which are clean. Staff really pleasant at check in. Issues were only 1 towell in the bathroom in a room for 2 people so had to search around and a spare was in the wardrobe, no shower gel in the shower. Annoyingly, and not the hotels fault someone had set the alarm on the tv for 7am so we were woken by the tv switching itself on. Breakfast was really poor. They had the tea and coffee box well stocked and not with just the standard tea and coffee but with the flavoured tea and decaf coffee plus they had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as well as if you had forgotten anything you could ask for a guest pack (toothpaste, toothbrush, razors etc). "This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. "It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."
