"Lovely coaching inn in beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Welcome very friendly as was service throughout stay. Room not huge but adequate and very comfortable bed with good supply of linen. Whole hotel was kept well heated. Beautifully cooked dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay again though not sure if menu changed much."

"A great value for money hotel, room was clean and comfortable, the whole building is really warm, so be prepared,! The showers are far to hot for me, but my friend loves them, so its a personal thing, but they dont really go any cooler than Moulton Lava! "This was a lovely stay in a beautiful location with access to boat rides and steam train. From here we visited Keswick, Ambleside and other towns in the Lake District including a must visit to Beatrix Potter’s house Hilltop. The hotel itself does feel a bit dated. The hotel room lacks the usual facilities of a four star hotel like no air con, no fridge and limited plug sockets. "We had a great 6 day stay at the Damson Dene. All the staff are super friendly. Had a couple of SPA treatments with Sharon, they were amazing and so reasonable priced. The food in the hotel was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious. The only issue we had was with housekeeping. Over the six days we were there they only made up our room twice. Once we did put the "do not disturb" up as my husband wasn't feeling great. I had to request for them to go in on...
