Wow! Amazing Vacation Stay!!

We spent 3 weeks in Europe from Barcelona to Cadaques to Provence to Cannes to Nice to Monaco to Rome and Castellina in Chianti. Our stay in Stella at this location was our absolute favorite. Federico was very kind kind, greeted us upon arrival, helped us with questions, and gave us suggestions around the area. We highly recommend this place and are already making our plans to return.

Schöner entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir haben zu drei Erwachsenen einen schönen Trip in die Toskana erlebt. Das Haus Stella ist liebevoll eingerichtet, alles vorhanden was man braucht, das Grundstück ist wunderschön angelegt und jedes Haus hat seinen eigenen Bereich mit Grill, der Ausblick ist umwerfend, wir wurden gastfreundlich empfangen und und hätte das Wetter mitgespielt wären wir zu gern auch länger am Pool geblieben. Alles in allem ein rund um gelungener Kurzurlaub.

Beautiful location, friendly host

Very nice location, beautiful views, especially from the swimming pool. The house/ appartment we were in was Biagio. It's large, with 2 sleeping rooms both with their own bathroom. It can be a bit dark due to the rather small windows, and the somewhat dim lights, but most of the day time your outside anyway enjoying the swimming pool or the beautiful countryside. Beside that Federico is a very friendly and helpful host and always quick to respond on questions. We had a wonderful time here.

Absolument superbe.

Un appartement de 100m2 décoré avec goût et matériaux haut de gamme, dans une grande maison typique qui comporte trois appartements autonomes. Le site est splendide avec vue sur campagne toscane et Sienne. Jardins, piscine : superbe. L'accueil est parfait et les propriétaires sont toujours là pour aider pour aider à résoudre des petits soucis ( qui ne sont pas forcément liés à la location). Plus qu'à recommander, à ne pas manquer.

Haus „Stella“ sehr empfehlenswert

Top Blick vom Garten aus auf Siena, insgesamt sehr schöne Anlage mit einladendem, gepflegten Pool. Gemütliches Ferienhaus. Ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und von dort aus Treppe zur Empore mit Einzelbett, sowie in ein separates, kleines Zimmer mit weiterem Bett. Küche gut ausgestattet mit Geschirrspülmaschine. Freundlicher Vermieter und reibungsloser CheckIn. Kleine Unstimmigkeiten bei der Abreise bzgl. der Endreinigung (abweichend vom Inserat) konnten bereinigt werden. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Simply stunning! This Vil...

Simply stunning! This Villa and the location outperformed all our expectations. The views, the tranquility and the attention to detail were excellent. Some of the items in the Villa needed updating - cutlery, crockery and glasses, but otherwise it was superb! Located in the heart of Tuscany, exploring places such as Siena, Florence, Pisa and Luca was a pleasure, despite some of the roads. The local town of Castelina is lovely, and the countryside is beautiful. One of the most relaxing holidays for quite a while, despite covering 3,000 miles. If you want lots of entertaining, bright lights etc - this is not for you. If you want lovely people, places, food etc.. it's a great location. And the owners were so very helpful too.

Wunderschöner Außenbereich

Wir waren mit unseren beiden erwachsenen Töchtern hier und hatten eine sehr schöne entspannte Zeit. Vom gepflegten Garten und dem sehr schönen Pool hatten wir einen wunderbaren Blick auf Sienna und die herrliche Landschaft. Wir hatten die Ferienwohnung "Stella". In der Beschreibung der Wohnung wurden 3 Schlafzimmer angegeben. Man sollte dazu wissen, dass sich ein Schlafzimmer (mit 1Bett) auf einer Empore über dem Hauptschlafzimmer befindet, das von dort aus über eine schmale Wendeltreppe zu erreichen ist und keine Raumhöhe hat (man kann nicht aufrecht stehen). Die beiden Räume sind nicht durch eine Wand oder Türe getrennt. Das 3.Schlafzimmer ist eine winzige Kammer mit einem Bett neben dem Hauptschlafzimmer. Für uns als Familie war das ganz ok, für 2 Paare aber nicht geeignet.

Eine Offenbarung für Naturliebhaber/innen

Wunderschönes Haus mit einfacher aber stil- und liebevoller Einrichtung. Lage: Paradiesisch ruhig und naturnah, mit atemberaubenden Ausblick über Siena und Umgebung und einem wunderschönen, perfekt gepflegten Garten mit vielen Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten und schönem Pool mit ebenso atemberaubender Aussicht. Beim ersten Finden des Anwesens hilft Vermieter Frederico mit guten Tipps und einer detaillierten Karte. Gute Lage als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Siena, Florenz, San Gimignao etc., aber auch ideal, um einfach nur auszuspannen, die Seele baumeln zu lassen oder die Abende am Kaminfeuer mit einem guten Glas Wein etc. zu genießen. Für größere Kochprojekte sollte man entsprechendes Equipment mitbringen, aber für die tägliche Versorgung ist das meiste vorhanden. Wichtig für alle Herbsturlauber: Heizungskosten werden separat abgerechnet, aber zu überschaubaren Preisen und die Heizung funktioniert im Bedarfsfall sehr gut. Feuerholz für den Kamin ist ebenfalls beim Vermieter erhältlich. Frederico ist auch sonst ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, fanden die Zeit in "Poggino" sehr entspannend und kommen gerne wieder.

We simply loved the place. The outdoor area and the view was all we dreamed it would be. It was a bit hard to find the place and the written info was put away in a book shelf so we didn´t find that till after a while. But that was just a minor thing. Our hos Federico was most helpful and responded quickly to all our questions.

Tolle Lage mitten im Chiantigebiet mit einmaligem Blick

Sehr netter Vermieter, hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Leider Keine großen Kochaktionen möglich,( es gab nur ein großes Brotmesser). Nachts wiurde es im September schon recht frisch, eine Wolldecke wäre gut gewesen. Von Fewo direkt wurde versäumt , die Kosten für die Endreinigung zu erwähnen. Außerdem war nicht zu erkennen, dass der Restbetrag (Hauptanteil) bar zu bezahlen ist (wir sind davon ausgegangen, dass der Betrag analog der Anzahlung eingezogen wird).

Wunderschöner Urlaub

Poggino ist ein kleines Paradies, die Anfahrt über 2 km Schotterstraße lohnt sich! Hatten das Appartement Stella mit tollem Garten und der Gemeinschatspool ist traumhaft mit Aussicht bis nach Siena. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Danke!

Beautiful grounds, stunning pool, great location

The best features of this villa are its outside spaces and fantastic views. We had a great week with wonderful weather and really made the most of being in this stunning location. The villa is up a bumpy dusty track, but once you get used to that, it is quick and easy to get to Castellina in Chianti for provisions, and there is even a great winery and beautiful restaurant at the bottom of the track in Fonterutoli itself - a definite highlight for us. However all was not perfect. Before we arrived we were asked to relocate from Stella, with lovely outside space looking straight over the Tuscan countryside, to Biaggio, an upstairs larger appartment with its outside space at the bottom of the stairs to the side of the house. We were happy to oblige, particularly as we thought we were getting an upgrade. When we first arrived we were slightly disappointed that you didn't have such a great view from the outside seating, but, as there were only two of us, we were able to move our chairs and tables to make the most of the view and actually it was all fine. We spent most of our time at the pool anyway, from where the views are second to none! The grounds are all beautifully kept and there is plenty of seating and shady areas for everyone at the pool. From speaking to the occupants of Stella, I think ours was the more comfortable appartment inside, and it was certainly very spacious. But it was quite dark inside and the sofa bed in the lounge, the only seating apart from the chairs around the table, was very uncomfortable! The fan in our room was broken (something that could have easily been checked beforehand?) and so we had to swap it with the one from the other room. Having read from previous reviews how friendly Frederico was, it was disappointing not to meet him until day 3 of our visit. His father, who was there to meet us, did his best to show us around, but he didn't have much English which made it hard to ask questions. When we did finally meet Frederico, he was indeed very friendly and helpful. There were no provisions (barely any salt and pepper even) to start us off. Mostly when we have hired villas or cottages there is a bit of olive oil or coffee or something, which makes a nice little starter to a self catering week, especially when you have flown and not been able to bring anything with you. Little touches like a nice welcome and starter kit make all the difference to your first impressions. Otherwise all was good!

We had a great time, combining both culture and relaxation in a beautiful setting under superb weather. The property owner Federico was helpful, professional and friendly and the guests occupying the two adjoining apartments were discreet but neighbourly.
