"Overall superb!!! We will definetely choose to stay again here! Fantastic stay!!! They are very accommodating and our doggy approves the room we have stayed that is good for dogs!! It has its own side entry to the room, a doggy bed and bowls!!! "

"Beautiful B&B on a hill, but walkable to the bay and wharf and many dining options. The Bay Area is a little tacky with pin ball, casinos bars etc, but we had a very nice dinner at a spot called “Local” and it was walking distance to our lodging."

"We really enjoyed our stay. A lot of thought and care has gone into the decor and ambience and our room was really clean & comfortable as were the beds. The staff were very helpful & attentive and dinner and breakfast were delicious with everything beautifully presented & freshly cooked. Would definitely stay again. "

"We really enjoyed staying at Arran Lodge. Every single thing has been meticulously & tastefully done. We felt like we were staying at a four star hotel with the loveliest owners ever! Ashtray is provided for the balcony’s if needed! A beautiful clean room with fridge, fresh milk & bottled water daily, coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, cakes! There’s a hairdryer & iron too. Would highly recommend staying for the breakfasts! They’re amazing! So much choice & very reasonably priced. Would definitely...

"Beautiful setting, fab Breakfast and very friendly staff. Few areas of the accommodation not cleaned, very dusty mirror going up the stairs, in the bedroom sticky substance on the dresser in front of coffe maker. Window sills dusty/dirty when wiped with tissue. Minor issues but for the price charged expected perfection. Would I stay again yes, but food in restaurant pricey for what it is so probably would not eat in again."

"So where do I start!! Me and my partner stayed here for her 30th birthday for the weekend. As soon as we arrived at the property we were greeted by John and Julie a lovely couple who run the hotel. They immediately ask if we wanted a drink, as was given a lovely tea and slice of homemade lemon cake which was perfect after our long drive. They then kindly upgraded our room due to the occasion which was very generous of them. Through out our stay everything was more than perfect the morning...

"Loved our stay at Devon House. We were greeted with a very warm welcome even though we arrived later than expected. Room was a nice size, decorated beautifully and spotlessly clean. Location was great and we were within walking distance of everything we needed. Thanks for having us, we would love to come back one day…"

"The staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!). "I found the hotel perfect for a short stay in Torquay. Only a 10 minute walk to the seafront and free parking just outside the entrance. I had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning with some extra treats. Really friendly place and I'm going back there in the summer. I'm using the hotel as a base to meet my friends who return to Torquay twice a year."
