"The cottage was very quiet and remote yet the road is no problem at all. It has a stunning view and there’s a walk route where you can explore nearby villages and farm. The cottage owner was friendly and accommodating. She prepared freshly baked scones, milk, coffee, tea, sugar ready on our arrival. She checked on us as well twice to make sure we’re okay. "Was able to drop my bag off early as I arrived before noon but check-in was from 3pm. Very pleasant helpful man took my bag and stored it safely behind Reception. Everywhere was clean and cared for, only downside was the timing of my visit, Storm Claudia made it hard work going to and from the hotel in the strong winds and heavy rain which were obviously worse on the seafront."

"Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out."
