Coral Haven1 is a new vacation rental listing located in the historic town of Cape Charles. It offers all the comforts and conveniences of home as you focus on enjoying your time away. Just a short 4 and a half blocks to the public beach, only 1 block to shops in down town Cape Charles and a short walk to the town park where there is a walking and other stuff as well.

The duplex has an open floor plan with a queen size sleeper bed. The spacious second bedroom has a Queen bed and is steps away from a full bath. The second bed room has beautiful french doors that lead to its own private driveway and grill that is shared with the upstairs unit.

It has a full-size washer and dryer conveniently located next to the another full size bathroom, which has been recently renovated. Other amenities include 5G broadband wireless internet. Entertainment options include a smart TV in the living room with access to streaming apps and cable TV. Wireless TVs in one of bedrooms.

Cape Charles is on the Chesapeake Bay and is known for its beautiful sunsets. It’s a small town, but with lots to do, including kayaking, fishing, crabbing, playing on the beach, swimming, golfing, and visiting the nearby Cape Charles Nature Preserve, Kiptopeke State Park, and Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge. Downtown there are adorable boutiques, a quirky bookstore in an old gas station, an Irish pub, and a beach bar on the marina. Recent additions include a distillery, a cidery, and a brewery on the road into town. Easy day trips include Virginia Beach, Norfolk/Newport News, Chincoteague/ Assateague, and Onancock.

Guest Access:
We offer convenient door codes for self-check-in. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro uses convenient keyless entry for self check-in, details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message.

• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Chesapeake Properties by Portoro directly.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: In the State of Virginia and in Northampton County, all hotel and vacation rental hosts are required to collect hotel tax. We collect these taxes within the booking transaction.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs, or access to communal pools. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- This is a Pet Friendly property. 1 dog is allowed for a $150 per stay fee.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.

Our goal is that your vacation exceed your expectations. Chesapeake Properties by Portoro communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 14 days (or less) prior to arrival date. We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check in. We do typically check in with guests by text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions. We are available to guests 24/7 for any inquiries.

Disappointing Stay – Not Clean or Ready

We were really looking forward to our stay at this property, but unfortunately, fell short of expectations. Check-in was supposed to be at 4pm (which is already quite late), but the house wasn’t ready until after 5pm. At first glance, the place looked fine, but as we settled in, it became clear that it was not clean. We found moldy utensils in the drawers, dirty pot holders, and generally poor upkeep.The grill was unusable—it was filthy and had no propane, despite being listed as an amenity. The Wi-Fi credentials provided didn’t work, and I had to reach out to the property manager for access.Thankfully, they were able to help us find an alternate property, which we really appreciated, though the last-minute switch was definitely an inconvenience. This could be a great spot with better cleaning standards and communication, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

New to Cape Charles

It was our first time to Cape Charles. We loved the location of the house. We were able to walk to so much - shopping, eating and the beach. The house was the perfect size and layout for my family. Will definitely be back in Cape Charles!

Great time in Cape Charles

We had a lovely stay in Cape Charles for the 4th of July. The house was exactly as advertised, about 4 blocks from the beach and one block from the Main Street. We had a bit of a mishap on checking in with missing linens and the property management rectified it immediately despite the fact that it was after hours. Highly recommend this property and Chesapeake Properties did a great job as the manager.
