Happy & Spacious Home (nr hospital) @Garran

Spacious enough for a family or group of guests, this lovely home in Garran has all you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is large with an 8-seater dining table, and the living room is beautifully bright. There is a dishwasher, heating in every room, ceiling fans, washing machine, space for a few cars to park off-street (free), two toilets and a large corner bath. The bed arrangement is: King, Queen, two king singles & spares if requested.
It is close to Garran hospital and Woden centre.

Garran is one of Woden`s tightly held suburbs. It is saturated with beautiful homes and lots of trees. The neighbourhood is friendly and peaceful. Canberra Hospital is in Garran so guests who need to be close to it are very welcome to stay in this Airbnb.
The local Garran shops has a nice cafe and pizza takeaway. There is also an IGA for last minute essentials.

Because this home is located in a suburban pocket, arriving here by car is easiest. There is plenty of parking space in the driveway as well as free street parking.
Buses regularly go past the hospital and the local Garran shops, so it is easy to travel that way as well.
Getting around the whole of Canberra by car is generally quite straightforward.

Property was great with location, wifi, heating & cooling in most rooms & internal space. Owners were responsive to communication.Issues with maintenance : hot water pipes were very noisy, door handles not secure, sliding door is jammed closed, backyard was not secure for small dog with holes in fence. Not secure for toddlers either with open exhaust hole in lounge for fire place & balcony railings not to ground level.

The hosts were very helpful, however the property would be great in winter with all the heaters, but no air conditioning made for very hot days and nights. It's quite run down, there were only two desert spoons and one tea towel which smelt. Some tidying in the garden would improve as it's a lovely property in a great location, very spacious, however the stairs are a death trap and this wasn't mentioned in the description. The proximity to the hospital makes it a great location for people needing to spend time there.

The size of the house was great. Heating options were good. The actual house was tidy but very run down and dirty. There was dust behind the doors and dust and rubbish just swept under the bed in main room. There was hair and dust in corners of the bathroom. The fans were covered in dust. The staircase is a hazard and should be removed and redone. My daughter fell down then. Fortunately caught herself. The yard was unusable as it was very overgrown and weedy. The kids could not use the grassed area as there was dog Pooh everywhere, obviously from a past renter. My daughter actually stepped in some. Very obviously not maintained at all.

Great location

House is a little run down and the garden needs attention. This is the first impression upon arrival. Garbage bins were on the street and knocked over making the place look scrappy. The heating was excellent and the house lovely and roomy with plenty of storage. All the taps in the bathroom need new washers as they were really hard to turn off/on and the shower, whilst hot and powerful, leaked. It was a comfortable enough stay however the circular staircase to downstairs is very narrow and hard to negotiate and quite scary.
