"If this is in your budget, I highly recommend staying here. It’s an apartment suite two or three times the size of a regular hotel. "Booked a corner room for a week, because I like it as I saw it on YT. Was upgraded to bigger room, with separated living room, but asked to have the corner room. I really like the corner room and I think it was the right decision to choose this one. The room is super nice with a good view on Beijing (view on the Peninsula Hotel). "The Hotel is located not far from the centre. It is five minutes walk from the metro and easily connected to the rest of the city. The staff is very helpful. Some of the spoke good English. The interior is a bit retro but overall tidy and there are also two restaurants. One is available for breakfast where there is a large buffet. On my birthday they left a cake on my room which was very nice of them. good value fro money."

"The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. However, we did encounter a slight issue at the Garden Lei restaurant. They did not allow us to charge the meal back to our room, which was a bit inconvenient. When we tried to pay, the EFTPOS machine requested a six-digit PIN, but our card only has a four-digit one. "The hotel is in a very convenient location whereby it is near a metro station and shopping area, with lots of food options as well. When we checked out, it was drizzling and the receptionist directed the taxi to the hotel and sheltered us with an umbrella to the taxi, exceptional service. One of the dryers does not seem to work well as I had my clothes in the dryers for more than 6 hours and the clothes were still very wet. "
