"Great location and well laid out living space. The bed was very comfortable. A small cupboard for dry foods would have been good to have and a shelf on the wall at the side of the basin. Ideal for one or two people. A robe and toiletries would have been a good touch, otherwise it was it was very good."

"The weekend at Otterhole Barn in Buxton went by far too quickly. The flat offers plenty of space for a family of four and is very well maintained and equipped. The landlady was always approachable and helpful. We felt very comfortable here. The town centre is within walking distance and the natural beauty of the Peak District is practically on the doorstep. Really great. We would love to come back here."

"The apartment had everything necessary, except a working elevator. As we were on an extended tour, we had three suitcases which had to be carried up many, many flights of stairs. We tried to fit a key into a lock on a door which we later learned was a "decorative", non-working knob. The decor was lovely, the location was ideal, and I am sure if we were hikers, this apartment would have been a fine fit, but not for old people or people with heavy luggage."

"We decided to visit Buxton during our free days in the UK. What a treat. We loved the apartment. It was perfect for our needs and in a great location. Communication with Lorainne was OUTSTANDING and she made it very easy for us. We enjoyed getting out to do a bit of hiking and then spent both of our nights enjoying the amazing food and drink at The Old Sun inn. So wonderful there and a short walk from the apartment. We would certainly visit again and stay here. Thank you for your hospitality!!!!"

"Buxton is a wonderful place to visit, The Joseph Apartment is beautiful and in a perfect location. The attention to detail to make our stay comfortable was extraordinary. We wouldn't recommend the bunk beds, except perhaps for small children, but the living room is huge and the sleeping sofa very useable."

"We have stayed at this property before. Nothing much has changed and the property is getting a little long in the tooth and some things need attention. Showers are getting old and worn out and in parts need replacing. In one bathroom the extractor failed to operate. In one bedroom there was no available wardrobe or chest of draws so one had to live out of their suitcase. The other bedroom had a wardrobe which was not deep enough (needs to be at least 600mm) for the normal size hangers so was...
