Mirrabooka is a classic Southern Highlands experience - a beautifully decorated home, fireplace, chef's kitchen, verandahs, and 3 acres of lawns and mature cool climate gardens. This sumptuous home sleeps 8 across 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed room. It is pet friendly and only a short drive from Burrawang Village and its famous pub, butcher shop and cafes. Please note however that the 4th sleeping area / room is a very good sofa bed in a section of the large living area that can be fully partitioned.

Where will I be?

Mirrabooka is located on the edge of Burrawang Village, famous for its pub, butcher shop and many historic buildings in the main street. The beautiful town of Robertson is also only a 5 minute drive away. Burrawang is arguably one of the prettiest villages in the Southern Highlands, and is close enough to also be a base for an event in Bowral, Mittagong or Moss Vale.

Why choose Mirrabooka?

Mirrabooka forces you to relax and enjoy the luxury, comfort and tranquility of this beautiful house and property. There is plenty of space for everyone inside, or enjoy its classic cool climate garden with ponds, lawns, hedges and many mature Oak, Black Walnut and Cork trees.

How is the property laid out?

Mirrabooka is set on one level, notable for a large, stylish open plan living space that encompasses the dining area, chef's kitchen and two lounge spaces. The casual living area has floor to ceiling windows and glass doors and opens out to a beautiful alfresco BBQ area.

The master king bedroom occupies one wing of the house, complete with en-suite, bay window, freestanding claw foot bath tub and a frameless shower. The second bedroom is a well appointed queen room, and the third bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms share a main bathroom and a good sized laundry with Miele washing machine and dryer.

The 4th bedroom / 4th sleeping area is a very good sofa bed in a section of the large living area that can be fully partitioned - with the ability to slide shutters across to give privacy at night.

WiFi, Internet, Netflix and Pay TV - will I have it?

Mirrabooka has WiFi and you may use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B with Telstra generally the best network in regional areas.

What about outdoors?

Mirrabooka has plenty of outdoor options - the BBQ area, a fish pond, a dam on the property, and 3 acres of beautiful gardens - all self evident from the photos.

Staying warm or keeping cool?

Mirrabooka has ducted gas central heating and a wood fireplace in the formal living area. All 3 bedrooms have a split system air conditioner for heating and cooling.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

Linen and bath towels are provided at Mirrabooka.

Parking for cars?

There is parking for 3 cars on the driveway and also a carport for 1 car.

Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Pets are welcome at Mirrabooka and the entire property is fully fenced. Please bring a bed for your dog, and do not allow them on the beds or furniture. Please also clean up after your pet.

Wildlife

Please note that due to the nature and location of this property, wildlife may be about including possums, kangaroos, spiders and snakes. We do whatever we can to keep the property safe and do work with a network of wildlife removal experts, however we cannot guarantee that you will not see any wildlife at the property. If you do, we will use our best endeavours to have the animal removed or to make the property safe, however no compensation whatsoever will be paid for any disturbance caused by wildlife. You must book the property knowing that this risk exists, even though very uncommon.

What are the minimum stay rules?

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights

Are there any special Summer Season rules?

Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Perfect for our family weekend to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. Spacious indoors, comfy bedding, gorgeous wrap around verandah, and beautiful grounds and gardens. Wintery weather but rugged up for wine by the fire pit, Wish we could have stayed longer. NB Master retreat lovely but huge glass atrium style en-suite very cold.

Relaxing weekend in Burrawang

Property was very clean and nicely furnished and equipped for our family combination and two very well-bahaved dogs.Absolutely beautiful garden with plenty of wildlife and bird calls. Great kitchen and dining room which was the hub of activity for the weekend. A bit disappointed that the local Burrawang Central store has closed so no local walks to get coffee unfortunately.

A taste of country elegance

A delightful property with an amazing garden and expansive home. We loved the chef kitchen which had everything we needed to make a High Tea. Such a beautiful place to re-connect and take a well deserved break from our busy lives. Thank you!

Lovely stay in a beautiful home

We had a lovely two night stay with family in this beautiful home. It was beautifully comfortable and clean with all the needs for cooking and relaxing together. Beautiful Burrawang is just around the corner - with a great pub and Cafe.

A Weekend in Britain

Lovely house straight from Country Life. If you are posh, or you’d like to be for a weekend, this is the place to go. 3 acres of Home Counties gardens provide a lovely venue for casual walks or photo opportunities. We took our mum for her birthday and she loved every minute.

Burrawang Bliss

Property and house looked amazing from the driveway. Was disappointed that the yard needed a lot of TLC but completely understand that during COVID money issues would have been a contributing factor. We were disappointed that the verandahs and furniture needed a good clean. The house inside was very spacious but I think the owners would do well do get rid of a lot of the clutter. The pull out bed in the lounge room wasn't very comfortable and my daughter and partner had to end up putting the mattress on the floor to be comfortable. Also the shower in the master bedroom leaks badly due to the fact that the shower door doesn't close properly. We did have a great time though and I can't say enough about beautiful Burrawang.

Beautiful home and garden

The garden is magical and the home is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable and fully equipped for a longer stay, with many thoughtful touches. We enjoyed using the wonderful kitchen and meals in the nearby Burrawang pub, and the location is handy for drives to Fitzroy Falls, Kangaroo Valley and an easy drive to Bowral and Moss Vale.

Great short break !

Great house and location ! Local town has a great pub and cafe for breakfast, and lots of places a short drive away to visit. Property itself has lots of land to ride bikes and kick a ball around if you want to be outside, and tons of space inside to enjoy.

Family Weekend Getaway

Lovely weekend away. The property comfortably slept 7 people. The photos didn’t do the house justice! Incredible gardens, perfect for adventuring with small children and having a wine around the fire pit. Would have loved another night. Will definitely be back!
