"My family and I had a great time at this property with the air hockey, dart board, firepit, & hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with non-stick cookware, having everything one might need to cook. We cooked many of our meals, so this was appreciated (there's a limited number of restaurants in the area, but we like to cook). Communication with the owner was very easy and good."

"Bill and Cynthia are such amazing hosts and the property inside and out exemplifies it. What a great place to stay for some serious rural R&R! The property was very clean. They have thought of everything one would need for a delightful get away. If you forgot anything, just ask and they are sure to help one way or another. The Fresh eggs, courtesy of their chickens, were a treat and the farm animals are such fun…esp Posy, Zoey and Hemingway. We hope to return soon for a longer retreat! Thank you...

"The overall cabin was super cute and very clean. We did have a problem with bees in the house. My husband was assuming they were probably coming in through the barn door. The only thing I was just a little disappointed about was that we were actually in a neighborhood. I thought it was going to be a little bit more secluded. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would recommend this VRBO to someone."

"This house held our family of 11 perfectly. The bar and game room right off the kitchen was a great gathering place. The teen girls enjoyed the garage apartment and the extra privacy. The master suite upstairs was very comfortable. We did have a little trouble regulating the heat between up and downstairs."

"Such a lovely stay!! Everything was comfortable, clean, and lots of space to relax and unwind. I don't usually book a shared home, but was sold on the animals. Homeowners were so sweet checking in on us when we arrived while also granting the privacy expected for a booking. Just perfect. A highlight of our stay was the walk to the pond. One of the baby cows, we named Roo, came to greet us and was so precious letting us pet him. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"Beautiful old cabin that has been Restored with great taste and amenities. Setting is tranquil, quiet with horse pastures and a little pond. Every need was anticipated very impressed with the quality of the materials used to restore the cabin and all of Necessary items that were provided. Lots of fun things to do like fishing, croquet fire pit, horse shoes, etc. highly recommend this beautiful place."

"Oh, my goodness - our bungalow in Appomattox was the most pleasing VRBO we have ever rented! Charming to the max, spotlessly clean, comfortable, inviting, well-furnished, relaxing, and restful. Every detail was tended to. It was the kind of place that makes one want to stay much longer. Particularly nice were the rocking chairs and swing on the front porch...idyllic. Perfect for our morning cups of coffee. Our host, Susan, was wonderful from the get-go, and responded very quickly to my inquiry...

"The check in was easy and we had such a good time! It was 13 folks who all came together to pray. Although we didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit, it was well stocked! The cabin beds were so comfy and the walk to the restrooms was not long at all. Kitchens were both small but the owner had told us beforehand! The one in the house offered a bar that we all gathered around many times! Everyone liked the beds, which is hard to accomplish! Thank you so much for your awesome hospitality!!"

"The house provided an amazing getaway out in the country. It is close to hiking, wineries, breweries, fishing, and was very peaceful. We loved relaxing by the backyard stream at fire pit after a day of hiking and adventuring."

"The place was great other than a few kitchen appliances not working. Ping pong table was broke also but the weather was great so we didn’t need indoor activities."

"We visited Charlottesville for a family wedding but didn’t want to stay in a hotel with our young children. This place worked out great! It was new, bright and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. It was a close drive to wedding festivities. There was even a playground for our kids!"

"A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied."

"Our family stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we had a wonderful time! The house is so well stocked and every detail has been thought out. Beds and bathrooms were very comfortable and we loved the large living area. The owner was very communicative and sent us lots of advice about the home and the area!"
