We were very disappointed with our recent 6-night stay in a Junior Suite. While the hotel lobby was lovely and the rooms themselves were acceptable, the overall experience fell far below the standard expected from a property of this category.
Across four different nights, between approximately 3:00 and 4:00 AM, we were repeatedly woken up by a strong smell of cigarette smoke entering our room. This is completely unacceptable in any situation, and especially in a hotel that advertises itself as non-smoking. The smell was so intense it prevented us from sleeping properly. Even more concerning, we were traveling with a young child, and the exposure to smoke posed a genuine health risk.
We reported the issue twice to the Front Desk. The first time, the clerk insisted it was impossible because the hotel is non-smoking. He said he would check the 5th and 3rd floors, but when I returned to ask for an update, he admitted he had not checked both floors as stated. On the second occasion, both clerks claimed they could not smell the smoke—even though it was extremely noticeable.
What made the situation even more disappointing was the complete lack of follow-up. After returning home, I emailed the hotel three separate times seeking clarification and resolution, and never received a single response. This lack of professionalism and accountability is not what one would expect from a hotel of this level.
The repeated nighttime disturbances, the inadequate handling of our complaints, and
