Unique & centrally located cottage in Bruges

Welcome to this unique, charming & centrally located cottage called "Aubrey". It's a typical charming city house from the 19th century, recently completely renovated. A fully equipped kitchen, charming dining and living area, a cozy terrace & 2 spacious bedrooms with 2 private bathrooms. All of this in a walking distance of maximum 5 minutes of all known must-sees and do's! We ensure you the house has everything you need to ensure a luxurious and relax stay. Ready to visit Bruges in style?

"Aubrey" is a unique, charming & centrally located cottage from the 19th century, meticulously appointed to a luxurious standard. Situated in the hearth of Bruges within walking distance of all famous sites, attractions and restaurants, a world-heritage site. This cottage is a typical Bruges house which was recently completely restored to provide all our guest a fabulous stay. It's a fuse of old and new thanks to the well-known architect "Natalie Haegeman."

The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are very spacious and well equipped. Both rooms have king size beds (the second bedroom can have an extra single bed upon request and confirmation) with high quality bedding and linen that allows you to sleep like an angel.

The bathrooms both have a walk-in-shower, lavatory and toilet. To finish off they both have their own dressing to make sure you can hang and easily pick your clothes for any occasion.

Of course, we want you be able to relax and prepare any food if wanted. Therefore we created a harmony and coherent whole in the living, dining and kitchen area for you to enjoy with your friends, family and loved ones. Reading a book, sipping coffee or enjoying a good glass of wine/food without the daily distractions from all prominent multimedia. We did not remove all the multimedia, just minimized them to make sure you'll enjoy Bruges and the house in its full glory.

Important:
Kindly take into account that this historical house is kept as authentic as possible which includes the typical steep stairs. Please also note that the fireplace cannot be used due to security reasons.

Guests have full access to the entire house, which includes the hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, terrace, bedrooms, bathrooms, and 2 separate toilets. The house is entered by a private entrance. The instructions are provided shortly before arrival.
Important:
Kindly take into account that this historical house is kept as authentic as possible which includes the typical steep stairs.

We always try to welcome you in person, but after the check-in, we respect your privacy 100%! This said we will always be available to help or answer any questions you might have.

Important to mention is that we offer a wide range of extra services such as bikes, local tips, taxi services, and so much more so please don't hesitate to ask.

Guesthouse Aubrey is located in one of the UNESCO inner parts of Bruges where the horse carriages pass the front door. This provides an amazing experience and feel of the history of Bruges.

On a 5-minute walk, you'll reach the cathedral, the belfry, and every other must-see & do. Even closer, on a 3-minute walk is the "Groeninge Museum" which provides a varied overview of the history of Belgian visual art, with top-class paintings by the world-renowned Flemish primitives.

Without good food is nothing possible but luckily these are once again found within a 5/10-minute walk. From Breakfast to Lunch to High Tea or Diner. Belgian waffles, excellent coffee, typical Belgium food, or a top restaurant. All our local and handpicked tips are provided upon confirmation of your booking.

For those who want to do shopping or walk, the location is also excellent as you are once again within a 5-minute walking distance of the canal & main shopping streets.

Need a fresh sea breeze? The Belgian coast and sea can be reached in 20 minutes by car and is one of my favorite things to do after a few days in Bruges.

ACCESSIBILITY
You can easily reach the house by public transport and car. Luggage can be unloaded comfortably at the doorstep for a few minutes and park your car afterward.

###PUBLIC TRANSPORT###
There is a bus stop 250 meters from the house. Bus 1 and 11 leave from the front of the station at perron 1, and you must get off at the stop “Garenmarkt (Bus 1 & 11)” or “O.l.v kerk (Bus 6)”.

You can also take a taxi from the station to the house which will cost approximately 10-15 euros. Taxis can be found next to the buses.

###PARKING###
Parking is possible in the public parking “Parking Katelijne” (Costs around 14€ / 24 hours) and is a 200m walk from the house.

*** EXTRA INFORMATION ***
- We provide prepared beds with high-quality bed linen. One pair of bedlinen per guest/couple, per stay. Baby bed linen is not included.
- We provide soft and thick bath towels. One big and one small towel per guest, per stay.
- We provide a Nespresso machine and free capsules per stay.
- We provide shampoo & conditioner.
- We provide a few starting amenities enough for at least 3 days: sugar, olive oil, pepper & salt, hand-wash, detergent, kitchen towel, kitchen cloth and a kitchen sponge, kitchen paper and trash bin with bags, etc ...

*** HOUSE RULES ***
- We do not allow smoking.
- We do not allow parties.
- We do allow pets upon request and after confirmation only. An extra charge of 50 euros will be charged for hygiene reasons.
- We ask all our guests to respect the low-noise hours between 23:00 - 07:00.
- We ask all our guests to use everything with respect as if it were their own.
1. Check-In/Out Times:
Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am.
If you need some flexibility, let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Exceptions can be asked. Luggage storage before or after is always an option.

2. Parking:
Please park your car in one of the public underground parkings (safe and cheap, 15 euro/24 h). Unloading can be done in front of the building.

Please note that you could incur a fine of up to 40 e for breaking neighborhood parking regulations.

3. Respect the Peace—No Parties:
Keeping noise levels down, especially between 10 pm and 8 am, helps maintain a good relationship with our community and avoids you experiencing any neighbor complaints.

4. Smoke-Free Stay:
Our home is a strict no-smoking zone, which helps us maintain a fresh environment.

5. No Extra Guests:
If you plan to have visitors during the day, no problem. But please make sure the only guests who stay overnight are those listed in your reservation.

This helps us follow local ordinances on maximum occupancy and keep our home comfortable and safe for everyone.

6. Trash and Recycling:
We appreciate your help in separating recyclables: [see checkout mail day before checkout].

This small step makes a big difference to the environment and will help us avoid a fine.

7. Handling Damages:
Accidents happen. If something gets damaged, please let us know so we can take care of it.

8. Simple Clean-Up:
Before you leave, please wash and put away any dishes or kitchenware you've used, so our housekeeper doesn’t have any extra work to do when preparing for our next guests.

But please don’t feel you have to strip the beds or wipe the floors, we’ll take care of that!

Lacking storage space in guest room

The room is very small for two people and there was no place to put two suitcases or store any clothes. Also no bar soap or washcloths were provided. The office staff was excellent throughout the stay.

Great location!!!

This place is all we expected. Easy booking and checkin processes. Excellent communication with the property manager. Responded quickly when we needed anything. There are some stairs to reach the top floor - but we expected this.
