"I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...

Room was lovely which was cleaned daily. The best shower pressure! Tea coffee, water and juice in the room. Great location, walking distance to Esher town centre and the Racetrack! "After a shaky start the stay at Great Fosters was good. The hotel was full on my first night and unfortunately the room is been allocated had several issues. The staff were unable to move rooms but reassured me I'd be moved first thing in the morning. The second room was much better and the change over was handled well. A good measure of a hotel is how they handle when things go wrong, and the team at Great Fosters stepped up and made it right. The other aspects of Great Fosters are excellent....

"The Mitre is an exceptional hotel, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, served in a gorgeous area overlooking the river. The location couldn’t be better; you are in an out-of-the-way part of London with small village charm. Just steps away over the bridge is a street with many lovely restaurants, as well as the Hampton Court train station where you can get a train to Waterloo Station in Central London in a half hour. "I would never normally leave a negative review but unfortunately our stay at the Holiday Inn Shepperton was disappointing - the staff were not welcoming and sometimes rude. The corridors had crockery on the floor from the night before which had not been collected, and in the room there were garments from a previous guest which had not been cleaned away. I would not recommend a stay here."
