  • Signal Cottage is a rustic beachfront retreat in Cowan Cowan, perfect for families or couples. Full of old-world charm, you can step off the back deck straight onto the sand. Enjoy direct access to the dunes and beach for stunning sunsets or gather around the communal fire pit.
    The rental, located in the township of Cowan Cowan, includes the entire residence, and contains a kitchen, 3 x bedrooms, 1 x bathroom, and an outdoor dining area.
    *Please note that this property is fully off-grid and reliant on solar for power, rain/bore water for water, and septic for sewerage. Additional electrical items, particularly, those that generate heat (rice cookers, fry pans, hair dryers, hair straighteners etc, are not permitted to be brought to this property.*
    Accommodates up to 6 guests.

Lovely location, very cute decor

Our stay at Signal Cottage was very good. The beach front location is perfect and the cottage has a wrll equipped kitchen.

Perfect beach shack

Fun and kooky beach shack overlooking the beach. Very central for getting out exploring. If you need technology and wifi then it’s maybe not for you but has decent 4&5g mobile reception. Proper nostalgia 70-80’s beach shack, much more fun and pretty than the boring resort.

Amazing location

Amazing place with a walking distance to a beach with no car traffic. Will be back If I could change one more thing, I would add a ceiling fan in every room, including the alfresco and kitchen. The breeze is fantastic but it's not always present.

Exactly what you want for Moreton

The house was excellent. It is more than just a beach shack, the kitchen was really well equipped and practical and the bathroom was good. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was better than expected. The location was the winner for sure, sitting out on the back deck or out at the communal table. The only thing we could fault was no fly screens. If you were there while it was 30 degrees you’d either get the bugs or the heat with windows closed. The temperature was perfect for us so windows open all day then shut before sunset.

Cosy cute cottage, incredible location

Small fibro beach cottage, originally brought to the island by ferry. Has everything you need. Water views from the deck. Access to communal fire pit and table on the dunes overlooking the beach. Next to the historic Cowan Cowan Signal Tower. Could not get a better location.
