  • Location, Location, Location!
    Northbank House is a luxury accommodation located on the banks of the Ovens River and the popular Canyon Walk. Just a short walk to town, it doesn't get any better than this!
    Northbank House is a spacious home with a large deck (al fresco dining with BBQ), two bathrooms, modern kitchen, two living rooms and three very comfortable bedrooms.
    Perfect all year round for families, cyclists, snow lovers, hikers, anglers, food & wine lovers and everyone else in between!

    Northbank House is one level with some steps off the back deck to the back yard (there is an alternate route around the side if steps are a problem).
    There are three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a single bed, all complete with luxurious linen bedding. The main bedroom has a large ensuite with corner spa and walk in robe.
    There are two living rooms both with 50 inch flat screen tv's.
    We supply the linen and towels, tea, coffee, sugar and some milk to start you off, laundry detergent, soap and bubble bath.
    The kitchen has all of the mod. cons. including sandwich press, rice cooker, oven, cooktop, pots and pans plus more......
    Outside there is a lockable shed to secure your bikes, ski's or snowboards. Peace of mind for you to store your valuable belongings without any worries.

    The whole house is yours to enjoy.
    The courtyard faces east so its the perfect position to enjoy a cup of coffee in the beautiful morning sun.
    The large backyard runs down to the river, ideal for a dip on a hot sunny day or otherwise wile away the hours relaxing on the deck overlooking the river.

    We will meet and greet you to hand over the keys on your arrival and then leave you to enjoy your stay. We are nearby if you need anything.
    Northbank House is a very comfortable, high end accommodation that is sure to please. Everything has been designed with your comfort in mind.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location

The house is beautiful, cosy and well equipped added to this is the location! With the river as your backyard and a 3 minute walk into town it doesn't get much better. Marco and Sam are wonderful hosts, we were very well looked after. Thank you Marco and Sam for such a memorable stay, looking forward to coming back!

Lovely Riverside Property

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. Very clean, spacious and modern in a fantastic location backing right on to the river. An easy 2 minute stroll in to town. We unfortunately had to reschedule our original booking at very short notice due to flood issues but the hosts were very accommodating and booked us back in for another date. Highly recommend this property!

Idyllic getaway

Such a beautiful house in a spectacular part of the world. The house is impeccable with everything you could think to need. The riverside location was stunning - it was incredibly restful to just sit and watch the river flowing by and the canyon walk is right at your back door for a good walk. The location was great - a two-minute walk into town but it’s also really easy to hit the main roads for day trips around the region. Sam and Marco were fantastic hosts and were great at communicating everything. Highly recommend and I very much hope to come back.

It’s a perfect holiday home, on the river

You couldn’t want for much more in a holiday home. Clean, Comfy, Pretty. It has a really nice feel when you walk in. The views of the river are lovely from the kitchen and the deck. All rooms are clean and fresh and well equipped. Sit on the deck and have a BBQ and listen to the river tinkling away. My husband said “it’s a good house hey!”. He loved the fact he could simply walk 20 metres through the yard to the river to fly fish. He also loved sitting on the deck, having a drink and watching the river, through the autumn trees. We booked again for next year because it’s a lovely, restful place to be. The owners are lovely and helpful, which makes for a good experience. We give it 5 stars out of 5.

Lovely riverside location

The location of this property is perfect! On the river and excellent walking distance to everything. Lovely and quiet spot. Very clean and well presented house with plenty of space. On top of it all the hosts were very responsive and able to accomodate a coup of additional requests we had. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Bright Magic on the Northbank

Excellent, personal communications with Marco, who was there to greet us, friendly and prompt, from the start. Fabulous location, garden down to the river and walking track, with easy stroll to the town centre. Everything immaculately presented and exceptionally clean. A lovely feel to the house with everything we needed. Bright, which put on a beautiful display of autumn colours is a vibrant friendly town offering many things to do and see. Look forward to seeing it in spring.

Beautiful place to stay

My family loved our stay in Bright. The house is beautiful and has everything you need including comfortable beds and awesome back deck overlooking the river. Great location a short walk from town with walking track at the back door. Great to see platypus in the river just near the house. Great mountain bike trails close by too. The hosts, Sam & Marco, were very welcoming and quick to respond when our keys were locked inside and the BBQ gas bottle ran out. I would highly recommend this gorgeous home.

Had a lovely stay here. The house was comfortable and warm and the furnishings were lovely. The location was perfect, we hardly used our car it was only a short walk into town. We would definitely stay here again.
