The check-in for the apartment hotel is 1km away at another location of the branch. This was not communicated to us and also not stated on expedia or the website of the hotel. By chance, a staffmember was present at the building due to a fire alarm going off and informed us that we had to walk to the other location. We had already parked the car and had all of our luggage with us.
Once we finally got the key for the room and entered our room, we saw that it was not clean at all. There was hair and dirt on the bed and in the shower. The mirror was streaky, as well as the sink.
Our favourite part was the moldy nook in the wall above the toilet where the towels were stored. Not to mention that the room we got was not as advertised. We had booked and apartment hotel room but only got a small regular hotel room. Very disppointing.
Due to the major health hazard of the mold, especially with my partner being highly allergic to mold and showing allergic reactions within a few minutes, we decided to not stay and asked the hotel for a refund. The hotel did not acknowledge that there was mold in the room and claimed that the cleaners had checked that the room was clean earlier.
The hotel did not give us a refund and did not react to Expedia either, when Expedia was trying to get in touch with the hotel.
Overall, a very terrible experince. This is absolutely unacceptable!
