"Lovely spacious family room with fantastic cooked breakfast choices served in the bedroom. Great shower power. Comfortable bed. Kind and welcoming owner. Some road noise but that wasn't a problem for us and to be expected right next to the A30 which was perfect for visiting the beautiful Devon countryside and coastline right on the doorstep. Very happy with our stay. "

"Great night in a lovely hotel. Room was amazing. Spacious, vintage decor, large bathroom, very comfortable large bed and great view. Service was excellent from a very friendly team. Food was great and the location was beautiful. Not something I say often but it was outstanding. Definitely want to go back. "

"The Belfry was a pleasant and unique B&B. No complaints about the accommodation. Breakfast is generous but the service, we felt, was very impersonal as the only contact with our hosts was a pair of hands through a serving hatch. Written instructions are fine but we felt that it would have been more welcoming to have a " Good Morning" rather than a curt note. We accept that this is very much an "old school" personal preference but it is always nice to feel welcome. "

"The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing."
