"The bed was joined together so one was higher than the other so it was uncomfortable.We went to eat on the evening limited menu needed more choice,no vegetables on the menu all chips with one choice of mash.We chose the burger because it had coleslaw but when it came out it tasted off ,we asked a member of staff who said it was made with butter milk,however we noticed after that the food was coming out with a salad instead.So we can only presume that the coleslaw was off.. "

"Just a lovely, old traditional family run hotel. Staff are fabulous and food is home cooked and delicious. Clean and comfortable. Perfect stay. "

"Check In was quick and easy. Lovely greeting. Loved the idea of foregoing housekeeping each day, in return for one free drink each on the evening. Which we took advantage of. Rooms were in an external bedroom block. They were clean with tea and coffee facilities. No securit safe though, which would be a good addition. Our room was near the steps to upstairs rooms and were noisy at times, and was near the rear of pub and extractor fans were loud until turned off, once off very quiet. Beds were...

"Room tired and dark decor, no bathrobes or locally sourced treat as advertised! Noisy room above the bar. Nice location of hotel, with some lovely walks around it. Evening food very disappointing, steak small and chips covered in paprika they were barely edible! Liqueur coffee not possible as only synthetic squirty cream… not what I’d expect from a so called 5 star luxury hotel!!"
