Villa Elegance moves you from the very first moment. For almost a century, this characterful house has invited guests to stay, to unwind, to explore. In 2017 and 2018, this luxury holiday villa was completely transformed by the hand of renowned interior architect Piet-Jan van den Kommer. You feel his signature in every room.

This is a holiday home for slowing down. For being together. For a moment with nothing you have to do.

The spacious living kitchen is where it all begins. Coffee and fresh bread at the dining table while the light falls softly through the tall windows. Should you prefer to leave dinner to someone else, we can arrange a private chef on request, for an evening that unfolds all by itself.

Through the steel pivot doors, the formal dining room opens up. A long table beneath sculptural lights, a herringbone parquet floor, tall windows looking out over the lane. This is the place for the long dinner, for the first cork of the evening, for moments you will want to remember.

The intimate lounge is the moment of the evening. A generous lounge sofa, a double sided fireplace, flames dancing behind glass. Here the house comes to rest.

And then there is the outdoor bar on the veranda. A bottle in the cooler, glasses on the wooden bar. Time for a drink.

Upstairs, eight spacious bedrooms await, room for sixteen guests, respectfully numbered 1901, 1902, 1903. A subtle tribute to the year the house was built. Each room has a king size bed with crisp white hotel linen and its own en suite bathroom.

The bathrooms are couture. The morning ritual here feels like a private spa moment. This is boutique hotel hospitality, translated into a luxury holiday villa entirely your own.

The walled garden is designed as an outdoor living concept. A professional outdoor kitchen for those who love to cook over fire. A long wooden table for summer breakfasts in the open air. And a lounge corner with a large outdoor fireplace, where the evenings grow long and the conversation soft.

The centre of Bergen, in the heart of North Holland, is a two minute walk away. Art galleries, culinary hotspots, boutique shops and terraces where summer never quite seems to end. Along the Eeuwigelaan, you cycle to the beach of Bergen aan Zee in a quarter of an hour. The forest begins around the corner. Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam are within reach for a day of culture. Or simply stay where you are, and let Villa Elegance be the setting for memories that last.

Villa Elegance is a holiday villa for being together with a large group. For large families, for generations under one roof, for groups of friends who want to slow a weekend right down. A place to truly come to a standstill.

That is why parties, celebrations and stag or hen weekends do not belong here. Not out of reticence, but out of love for the calm that makes Villa Elegance so special, for you and for the surroundings. We screen our groups carefully, so that everyone feels at home here. Pets are unfortunately not allowed.

To make your stay extra special, we can arrange a breakfast service at the house on request, or a private chef for an evening that unfolds all by itself.
