Peaceful Pet Friendly Escape at Bells Beach Cottages

Our pet friendly cottages are on 5 beautiful acres of natural bushland between the magnificent Great Ocean Road and renowned surfing location, Bells Beach. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 car spaces and is fully self-contained, complete with BBQ and outdoor entertaining area. After just over 1 hour's drive from Melbourne, you can wake up to the fresh country air and peaceful sounds of native birds, along with views of our garden and nearby dam. With wood fires inside and Netflix provided this is the perfect year-round retreat for families, couples, and lovers of the outdoors.

Family Friendly space
Perfect for families with up to 3 children. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, and we can also set up a sofa-bed (available in 1 cottage), blow up mattress or porta-cot on request.
We have upgraded to satellite internet and provide free Wi-fi throughout the property with Netflix included on our smart TVs, so you can keep the kids entertained while you relax in-between activities. There’s also over an acre of lawn to play outside if you bring a football or cricket set, or just relax for a family picnic.

We're pet friendly!
Bring your furry friend for just $30 per stay, with a maximum of 2 pets per cottage. We just ask that pets are not left unsupervised and that they don’t enter the bedrooms or go on the couches.
There is no fence around the dam or the cottages themselves, and we have a farming style fence around the property, which won't keep pets in. So, if your pet tends to roam, there are plenty of trees around each cottage that you could tie up your dog while outside if that suits.

Long summer stays
Each cottage is fully self-contained with all the essentials for a long summer stay full of trips to the beach. Each cottage has a washing machine, detergent and outdoor clothesline and portable clothes airer, and plenty of space outside to stash your bike or surfboard.

Cosy winter getaways
Nothing is cosier than a wood fireplace. Each cottage has an indoor fireplace with all firewood, kindling and firelighters provided. The split system air-conditioning can also run reverse cycle to heat up the cottage, and plenty of extra blankets are provided. There’s even tea, coffee (Nespresso machine) and hot chocolate and a little milk to warm you up with a hot cuppa.

Guest Access
You will have access to your own cottage with its own outdoor entertaining and BBQ area. There are 2 car spaces next to each cottage, with additional shared car spaces on the gravel near the front of the property.

We offer convenient self-check-in and one key is provided, but let us know if you would like a second key. The entire cottage is at ground level, and there is one step at the entry to the cottage.
Guests have full access to the large lawn area in front of the dam, which is perfect for picnics, yoga, ball games, or just relaxing with a book.
For the safety of other guests, we ask that vehicles don’t park or drive across the grass, and that driving is kept to a walking pace.

Local activities
You can go hiking or mountain biking along the naturally beautiful Surf Coast Walk, which passes only a kilometre from your cottage. Try surfing or watching the action at the world-famous surf breaks, like Bells Beach and Winkipop. Or if you prefer to indulge, there are plenty of gastronomic delights at local restaurants. You could stay a little longer and go day-tripping the trail of local artisan producers of wine, cheese, beer, spirits and of course, chocolate!
